I disagree.While I'd like to agree, you have to keep in mind that the suits are a major part of the shows, because they're what define the genre. It's like graphics with video games I guess. Simply put, the look of the suits will give you a first impression that usually lasts, as you make judgements about the show from it.
While first impressions are influential upon one's way of thinking (consciously or subconsciously), they don't last. I thought the GekiRanger costumes were ridiculous (as did most of the fans I knew when we were getting our first GekiRanger scans), but now I love them, and GekiRanger is an amazing show. And do the suits define the genre? So it's not that sense of teamwork we love, or even the mecha?
And, graphics with video games? I think a lot of people can sit here and play Halo 3, and still go back and enjoy Super Mario Bros. Or...maybe that's just me.
I guess I just thought it was shallow to judge a show on the costumes alone.
