Props for the fringe mention man; it's such a great show. Great cast, great writing, etc. I'm still unsure of the Friday night move but excited for this week's episode. Last week was amazing.

If The Prisoner counts, then definitely that! Otherwise, any of the Discworld TV Mini eries from England (include Neverwhere, since I just opened it up to mini series).

But if it has to be a Space Opera, gotta agree with B5!

The X-Files. There's never been a better written or more intelligent show that blended scientific investigation with supernatural phenomena. Love almost everything about it, until the episodes started getting too conspiratorial in the later seasons and moved away from the basic formula of researching the unusual.

I think my brain would explode if I tried to narrow this down to one... Most of my favorite shows throughout my life have been sci-fi at some level.
