Endings that people hate but you like

Endings in fiction can sometimes causes a lot hate from fans who don't like it but what ending get a lot hate that you actually like?

Me the Big O. THis ending gets a lot hate for well not making sense and the whole ending was a bit confusing but I have to admit I like this one because I thought it was sort of set up at the beginning. The whole stage motif sits well with me because I'm a film fan and I enjoy the whole stage metaphor because in anime it's usually a metaphor about growing up or facing your inner demons. Plus It did connect the shows point that memories don't define as much as we think but we define ourselves. All in all one of my favorite series of all time:buttrock:

People hated the Lightspeed ending? I thought that was one of the most highly-regarded PR finales.

Buffy and Angel haven't really ended per se, since the comic book series are now considered canon.

I would say the endings of Ranma 1/2, Tenchi TV series (Universe), and the original G1 cartoon of Transformers I liked but are somewhat dubious now.

G1 ended twice for me, "Return of Optimus Prime" actually had a firm ending, Galvatron, in one of his better states of mind, shaking Prime's hand (despite his trying to feed him to a giant spider on Charr earlier), once Prime used The Matrix to cleanse the world of the hate plauge. The Matrix's power and wisdom was also dispersed, leaving a new generation, Prime's generation, to fill it.

Yeah. No matter how many times I have watched "End Of Evangelion," I am still confused with that "Actual" ending. One thing that I don't is how the hell are Shinji and Asuka gonna pull it off being that only humans left on what's left of the Earth??

The TV ending seems more like there in some kind of Psychiatry department in NERV where they're like in group therapy and it was a trip.

I read that if you pay attention to little details, you will see that both endings to Evangelion are the same thing. The movie ending was what was physically happening to everybody, and the TV ending was what was going on in the mind's of everybody during that time.
