There's something uniquely powerful about a movie that hits you right in the feels at the end. I've been revisiting some classics and newer films, and it got me thinking, what are the most heartbreaking movie endings that have left a lasting impact on you?

For me, "The Notebook" always comes to mind. The mix of nostalgia and loss is just gut-wrenching, especially the way it portrays enduring love even in the face of tragedy. Then there's "Requiem for a Dream," which just absolutely destroys you with its portrayal of addiction and dreams unraveling. The ending is haunting.

I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts. What endings made you tear up? Any surprises or shockers that you didn't see coming? Let's get into the feels!

The ending of "The Shawshank Redemption" has always hit me hard. The way Andy Dufresne's hope and resilience shine through, even in the darkest moments, is incredibly moving. When he finally escapes and we see him on that beach, it feels like a cathartic release after everything he's endured.

I also can't forget "Grave of the Fireflies." That film just breaks your heart with its portrayal of love and loss during such a tragic time. The connection between the siblings and their desperate struggle for survival is haunting.

Have you ever felt like a movie's ending completely changed how you viewed the film overall? I'd love to hear more about those experiences!
