I know quite well what is going on. You have ZERO clue what this means, what led to it, and what will happen now. All you see is the tv news and such with it's bullshit stories about how IT'S ALL BETTER. Just exactly how old are you anyway?:sly:

First of all, I do know what's going on, thank you very much, indeed. People suffered under the regime which was in power for 30 years and was very close ally to us. I never knew what was going on in there until now.
Few egyptian people have told the stories about how they got beaten by secret police for no reason. This man who got in accident. He paid a fine, but secret police don't see that way. They took him to the prison to beat the holy hell out of him.
That's how I was able to paint to complete big picture in my head. Look, our friends in Egypt deserves to have a true freedom, true democracy, but it will have to take time to transform into a democratic country, democratic state that they've been dreamt for more than 30 years now.
Yet, you dare to strike that nerve to address in your tone to tell me that I have zero clue what's going on in Egypt. Listen up...I know what's going on enough already.

While it is true that the martial government of Egypt is expected to be abandoned with Mubarak's abdication, which presumably could lead to better standards of government including limited democratic deliberation and the inability for any subsequent ruler to simply claim power and use disputable legal conditions to maintain their authority the way Egypt's now ex-president did, it's worth noting that Mubarak's submission was rather abrupt and all commentary on the matter made terse, which could just mean that trying to remain in power over the noncompliant protesters didn't seem like much of a viable option and that either Mubarak's people or affiliates, including the military, are now considering another method of subjugating Egypt's citizens. Not to mention that a true ideal democracy that extends equal freedoms and political power to all or most of a civil base, enough for the people to actually have any influence over political or legislative affairs, is almost beyond the potential of attainment for a nation that's historically always been autocratic; even first-world nations that have had ample time to let their conceptions of democracy distill still have difficulties implementing true democratic equity in application, and it's unlikely that a country like Egypt with no prior experience in civil freedoms and with such a currently unstable social climate could sustain any attempt at democracy.
Not to say we can't be hopeful, but for the sake of prudence I think we owe it to ourselves to at least be realistic enough not to fall victim to naivety.

You're too optimistic to believe it'll be that easy. The main problem is not who's in charge but how Egypt is run.

If you can't take a certain "tone" then don't use it yourself. Anyway moving on.
You like the rest of us only know what is being reported on the news. News is not reliable. None of us really knows the ins and outs of what is going on in Egypt. If you want to be naive and think it's going to be all rosy good for you, but that isn't how I see it.
You can't "paint" any picture big or small about what is going on there. You don't know what's going on there. You only know what you see on tv and read on the net.

I'm not too optimistic to believe that it'll be very easy to have Egypt to transform into a democratic state, a democratic country. We're talking years, man. For now, we have to keep watching.
