ECW: One Night Stand: Anticipation and Talkback

Sweet. I finally got to see the PPV because a friend of mine taped it. Can't wait to see it again

Remember the days when DVD/VHS movies took like 6-9 months to come out.

I know... but I always noticed that Wrestling PPV DVDs were always released rather quickly from the airdate of the show.

Cool bro. I need to find someone that taped it because I want to see the original broadcast. I'm quite sure that WWE will edit all the chants on the DVD release.

IF they had a braincell in there head, and at this point I severly doubt that at this point, they'll release it as is. I got to tell you though Joey Styles was in top form

^ That's what I'm hoping for but I don't see it happening. I wish I could've heard Styles' commentary.

Going with that "If WWE had a braincell" notion, they should release the DVD uncensored and market it as such. It was pretty damn silly to bleep out the F bomb on a friggin PPV.

The dvds are usually uncensored. And Yeah, they had to edit out a couple f-bombs, but pretty much left the chants in.

Wrestling was reborn last night for me at One Night Stand.

Thank you! You spoke my words exactly. I agree with everyone here. I havent been too involved in wrestling in a while. It just hasnt been entertaining. Its mostly just the same crap day in and day out. I missed the REAL wrestling. I got into wrestling back in the 1996s and 97s because my friends at school were talking and I managed to see a show on TV and I loved it. It was REAL wrestling. It wasnt just story lines. It was addictive personalities and good Ring/Mat Wrestling with technical matches. It wasnt just piss and beer and huge brawls. It was high flying attacks, great stunts. Some of the most insane stunts ever and the wrestlers put on a great show.

This PPV was heaven to me. Every match was awesome! I loved every minute of it and I HATED the whole WWE invading bull ****. Its an interesting story plot but I felt that having the WWE there was too distracting sometimes. The fans would sometimes pay more attention to the asshat WWE wrestlers (by chanting at them) than the actual Wrestling match going on. But beyond that, it was great seeing alot of my favorite ECW wrestlers back and I really think it sucks RVD couldnt wrestle. He did get some action though but... man... RVD people. Mr PPV. But the show was great even without him.

The action was in freaking sane! I cant believe psychosis took off his mask honestly. When he did that, I actually enjoyed it alot and felt like he was showing his respect for the brand. I mean that's a sacred tradition for luchador wrestlers right? About the mask?

Annnnywho. So I guess there werent very much huge surprises left out of the PPV?

You know, I hated seeing some wrestlers not wrestle. Off the top of my head, seeing someone like Al Snow there and not seeing him in a real wresting match. would have LOVED that. I understand about Foley not wrestling, of course. I appreciated his commentary on the matches.

And man Joey still had it. He was calling it great out there! That guy knows his ****. I really hope they put out another ECW show. We need another ECW show because what we saw on One Night Stand pretty much makes EVERYTHING the WWE is putting out right now look like ****. Complete Crap.

Well, the reason he took off his mask was because he was forced to take it off in Mexico(or a crappy WCW match). He lost either a hair vs. mask or a mask vs. mask match, and was forced to take it off. But the fact that it didn't ruin his career is awesome! I will never forget when Rey Mysterio unmasked in WCW...I honestly thought that was the low-point of his career.
