Christopher Meloni's new Hulu series mixes Friday Night Lights and Succession

[OneMoreEpisode]

Christopher Meloni's new Hulu series is set to combine the drama of Friday Night Lights with the cutthroat world of Succession. It stars Mandy Moore and William H. Macy, and promises plenty of action with an NFL backdrop. Sounds like they're aiming for the sweet spot between sports and high-stakes drama.

I'm definitely intrigued by this concept.

I don't know, mixing Friday Night Lights with Succession feels like a stretch, one's all about heart and community while the other is pure backstabbing wealth. I'm not sure how they plan to balance those vibes without losing what makes each show great.
