Dragonball Z Uncut

????
FUNimation has been releasing uncut DVDs for years...a friend of mine was their sub script translator for DBZ.

what's going on is that funimation is releasing the television series 100% uncut (which, contrary to DBZ fanboy belief) was not uncut in it's original run. scenes were cut, dialogue grossly altered, and most notably, all the music completely changed from the original japanese score to heavy metal (which, while bruce falconer was doing the music, was pretty good). but now CN is running the eps uncut (dubbed obivously) with the exception of not using the jap opening and creating a different title screen. i had the good fortune of seeing the subbed version on the dvd before seeing the first ep on CN, and so far they are doing a bang-up job with it :198:

No, for the dubbed version they're not using the original music...but it does contain the japanese episodes as well..."Chala Head Chala!"...GO HIRONOBU KAGEYAMA!!!

they are so using the original japanese music in the episodes, aside from the opening and title slide. all the bgm is 100% unaltered

No...for the english track, they have their own intro and music...for the japanese track, it's just the japanese episode.

when cartoon network ran episode 1 last week, they ran it with their own opening music and montage, but the actual episode had the english dub with the japanese bgm. i swear i'm not lying ^_^ maybe it was dif on the dvd, i don't know, but that's what happened on CN
