Dragon Age: Origins

Oh, and I'm my main is a female human rogue with Morrigan, Sten, and Alistair as my usual team. [hide]Sten's got the DLC Blood Dragon Armor and the two-handed sword from the meteorite incident, Alistair's tanking with the Warden Commander Armor from the Warden's Keep DLC. My female rogue's done the deed with Alistair and is currently seducing Leilani. And Morrigan and Sten are totally flirting. XD[/hide]

At the end of my first game I had Alistair as a sword/shield Champion/Templar, and Sten as a two handed Berserker/Reaver. Both completely kicked ass in their own way. Mixed in with Morrigan as a shapshifter spirit healer (which i know is completely uncharacteristic for her, but I needed a healer and didn't want to use the other mage for story specific reasons at the end) and my Rogue Ranger/Duelist. Made for some interesting battles.

On a side note, if you get the PC version, do yourselves a favor and get this mod. Even if you're not big on mods for your games, this is just useful. My main gripe with the game, is whenever you receive items from npcs, or quests, all you see is 'item received' This mod takes it a step further and actually tells you what that item was. saves you having to search through your inventory for any 'new' items every time you receive something to see if you have something useful like a new weapon, or just another healing potion.

Heh, that is almost exactly the route I'm headed in (need to unlock specializations for Sten and Morrigan), except I'm going Duelist/Assassin for my rogue. BACKSTABBITY DEATH!

Yeah I thought about that, but I wanted to make my char as close to the traditional Ranger class as i could, dual wieldin', arrow slingin', wolf sic'in'.

I just started up a new char this afternoon running through as an elven mage. Gonna go the Arcane Warrior Blood Mage path and shoot for Leilani, followed by Alistair relationship wise.

The Keep quest can be picked up in your party camp from the NPC standing off to one side. The Shale quest is already in your journal, under "Premium Content."

Do, I have the Stone Prisoner and Dragon Armor DLC..... how long before I run into these things in the game?

Really as soon as you get to the world map, the armor will be available for sale in your campsite, you'll need to get some money first. Shale's quest line will be on the left center of your map.

As for the Keep, keep in mind that that's only available if you get teh warden's keep DLC, which is not included with the game itself. The NPC will be in your campsite, and will talk about it, but you can't start the quest until you pay for it. (why even put him there? I guess he's just an advertisement)

The Warden's Keep sounds like a quest I won't want to miss.... pretty damn clever of BioWare.... it's a good thing I like them, or otherwise I'd be a little miffed I have to buy it. :P

It's alright, it provides a little back story to the wardens' history that you're not going to get elsewhere, and it provides a storage area for item's, and a small quest needed to get a decent sword later in the game, but it's hardly a necessity. I think it comes to whatever the MSPoint equivalent to $7 is? It's hardly worth that much sadly. Honestly I'd have rather they packaged in warden's keep and made people buy Stone Prisoner, it may cost twice as much, but at least it's a worthwhile purchase.
