"Doomsday", the season finale, has aired
[hide]The Daleks (the "Tribunal of Skaro", the Emperor's elite guard, who have names like "Khan"), quickly learn the Cybermen are there, the Cyber-Leader proposes an alliance, The Daleks basically verbally bitch-slap them and refuse the alliance, then they inform Rose that the Genesis Ark was created by the Time Lords, and it requires the touch of a time traveler (the same way that Rose reactivated the Last Dalek), Mickey accidently touches it during a battle between The Daleks, Cybermen, and reneforcements from Mickey's adopted universe.
The Black Dalek succesfully posistions the Genesis Ark high above the city by flying out of Torchwood, and unleashes it's power. The Genesis Ark is really a PRISON TARDIS, containing MILLIONS of Daleks, The Daleks swarm London, and battle The Cybermen. The Doctor discovers that if he can reverse the Torchwood Ghost Shift, he can suck the Daleks and Cybermen into the void, but it means that in order to keep Rose out of harm's way, she has to jump to Mickey's universe, and once the void is closed, it's closed forever.
Pete meets Rose's version of Jackie and the losses felt by both draws them closer, it's a pretty good scene that makes a great deal of sense.
The Cybermen are distracted by Yvone Hartman (noe a CVyberman herself, but has managed to keep her individuality by repeating a series of words to herself and concentrating on them, words about the Queen and duty, never forgetting who she is)
Rose refuses to return to Mickey's universe and attempts to help The Doctor regardless of the danger, as the two succeed, the void begins pulling in everything, The Doctor and Rose hang on as much as they can, but Rose eventually lets go, before she enters the Void, Pete arrives and transports her to his world. The Doctor and Rose are now eternally seperated, and The Daleks and Cybermen have been defeated. (The Black Dalek escapes though, which means there is once more another Dalek left in existence)
Rose finishes speaking of how she "died" (she died on record in her universe as being one of the many people killed or pronounced missing in the Dalek and Cyberman attacks) bty hearing a voice call to her, and she and her reunited family arrive at "Bad World Bay" in Northfolk, The Doctor is able to project an image of himself using a supernova for a final breif farewell. Rose reveals she's now controlling her univere's version of Torchwood. The Doctor tries to tell Rose he loves her before the image cuts out, The Doctor is alone once more.
The cliffhanger is not what anyone was expecting...a bride showing up in the TARDIS and asking where the hell she is:laugh:
(And it was'nt who the new companion will be either, she's white)
The Christmas Special will be called "The Runaway Bride" appropriatly[/hide]
