I was semi raised by a dumb ass who thought beating on me was a fun thing. Let me tell you, having jumper cables clamped to your skin doesn't feel good.
My point you might wonder? Saying gays and lesbians are some how bad parents just because they like the same sex is freaking stupid. A persons sexuality doesn't determine if they are going to be good or bad parents. That is one of the LAST things I would consider a priority.
And on this topic. Why shouldn't gays and lesbians be allowed in the military? Aren't they just as able to shoot weapons and stuff as anyone else?

The (idiot) reason I've read is that it would be "a distraction" to straight soldiers.

Most of the people I know going into the Armed Forces really don't care about it. They just don't see the problem. These are the real patriots I've seen.

I got beaten quite a few times, but jumper cables are a bit extreme.
I am happy I had both 'poles' a mother and a father figure... But I don't think those are necessary to have a good childhood.
As for those Rainbow cannons... now that would surely freak out the enemy :-D
