Doing Homework

There are only 3 things I really, really hate:

-Injustice of any kind
-Selfish, spoiled, hateful people
-Homework

I grossly despise homework with an undying passion. When I was in high school, it seemed like the school board always thought that forcing kids to go to school for 7-8 hours every day wasn't enough, so they pushed teachers to give them even more stupid, senseless work to do. It doesn't help that I'm in college now, because although I'm not in class for quite as long, homework takes up all of my free time! They encourage us to be sociable, but it's damn near impossible when I have to do homework for every class I'm taking.

Homework is inevitable when you're in high school. I just use that to pass the time when there's nothing better else to do. But, you get the sense of awardness when you actually get it done.

I never had homework my first two years in HS, now I'm in my 3rd (different school) I sometimes have them, But I dont do it.

how can you not have homework in high school?

My first two years at my first HS had Block schedule, so I had 8 classes, 4 a day in "A" and "B" day format. We were in class for at least and hour and a half or more. We got alot done, worksheets, projects, quizes, etc.
Now I'm at a new school, 6 classes a day for 55 mins. So whenever I get homework, I just do it in class and turn it in before it's over. Or if I run out of time, I just turn it in at the end of the day.

It's either i never get around to doing homework, or I do it and breeze right through it. The idea of homework's never pleased me but when I get around to actually doing it, saves my ass on tests & quizzes.

Terms such as "never like" or "dislike" far from describe what I feel towards homework in general. :redface2:

Even in university, I absolutely hate studying. Like said above, school always eats up all a lot of my time to do anything else than to sit there staring at a textbook and/or doing some kind of assignment/project. I just finished another year of university and how should I say it... it felt like I just finished a prison term... only to go back in September again (but for the last time this year). Now I am so free that I cannot believe it. I now wake up with a cheesy grin on my face every morning looking like an ass. :P

Though in university, I don't get as much homework as before. It's more reading now and if there is homework, they assign weekly rather than daily.

But I agree that homework helps you survive when the dreaded exam time comes along. I cannot cram at the last minute, it's impossible for me. When I am running out of time, I panic and I go completely blank. Studying and homework are a necessary evil. Kind of like medication... you don't like it, but you must take it for your own good. Otherwise you're doomed at your own hands.
