Do you want Sentai team with one or two girls?

I'd like a series with a fully fleshed out female character. I'd rather have one developed female character than two who don't have any personality past the "girly girl" or "tough girl".

Two females of course. Who wants to be in a sausage fest team? Lol...Having two females allows for better character dynamics and it allows for the females to shine more often with just one woman.

while it's nice to have two girls, I really want to see a current team with only one girl (and a Male Yellow ala Hikaru/Daimon & Saya/Matsuri sense). "Female Yellow is the youngest" is so overused now...

That's less a case of how many girls on the team there are, as what character types are used. It would be easy to bring back male Yellows, but Toei seems so fixed on the idea that female Rangers must always be Pink and Yellow. And if Yellow's female, she doesn't need to be the youngest. The Green Ranger can be the youngest (like Go-on Green or TimeGreen), or the Sixth (GokaiSilver, Kiba Ranger) or bring back the young male Blue (Blue Mask, GaoBlue ...)

Or, y'know, just cast an actress over the age of 20 for once

Goseiger was the only recent series where both actresses were above 20 when they were casted and then we started getting younger girls all over again. then again, Toei hates casting anybody in their late 20s and Baba Ryoma, like Sato Rika, said he didn't have confidence in passing the audition because of his age.

I always liked how there were two heroines to one hero in Spielban, so I was always interested in a three-person Sentai team that had one guy and two women...and that set-up is being used for goofball purposes in Akibaranger. :disappoin

If there's just one girl, it's more likely she will fall into the tokenism trap.

While I can see your point in theory, I'm not sure it applies in practice. I tend to think that when there is two girls on the team, the writers tend to fall into the trap of having one of them be the over-the-top girly one (with the other girl bringing balance), whereas when you have only one girl, she has to be a balanced character on her own.
I mean, one of the weakest Pink in Sentai history (apart from Diane Martin, but she doesn't count) was Pink Five from Bioman, that is to say from the very first Sentai to have two female members. Now compare her to Dynapink, which was a much better balanced character.
If you want a more recent example, compare Ranru (balanced character and only girl in the team) to Umeko (girly half of a girl duo).

One.

If we get two it usually a really girly one, and a serious one. Sakura & Natsuki, Jasmine & Umeko, Haruka & Momoko, Luka & Ahim.

The greatest female characters in super sentai ( Tsurihime, Yuri, Maria Nagisa, Nanami,) have been the only female on their team.
