Do you think Double loves homages and references?

I seriously see lots of homages and references to past series and characters especially the 70s-80s in Kamen Rider Double.

The first obviously is Double's design is a homage to the original Rider designs and the return of the legendary scarf of justice in the Heisei Era. His colour scheme and design is a obvious homage to Kikaider and to me Nazca somewhat reminds me of Inazuman. Both were once a Toei series.

And there are multiple times where past SFX are used regularly. Most notably Kabuto's Zector sounds for the Double Driver.

Also in the second episode of the Singing arc of Double, Akiko, Queen and Elizabeth says to Shoutaro "You have no sense" or "You have terrible sense" and then Phillip comes out holding a yellow cloth and says he is studying Enka style singing *coughKintaroscough*.

If you watched Den-o you would recognise the reference in the episode.

Regarding the suit designs:

We have Double looking like Kikaider, Skull looking like, well... Skullman and Skull Rider... Plus Accel and his references with Kaiketsu Zubat or Winspector.

This is part of why most of the Broken Base of Kamen Rider enjoys Double, true.

Plus, if you recognize that Decade was more or less the culmination of 10 years worth of stories, then you'd think of Double as more or less wiping the slate clean and working with both old and new homages.

"Let's reference shows of the 70s" is arguably one of W's major motifs. You almost can't really make sense of the show without realizing it's someone trying to both modernize and homage the unique appeal of 70s tokusatsu.

I wonder how long it will take us to get to an 80s lovefest at this rate? W seems to be the first show I've seen in awhile where a major in-series motif was "look at all of our awesome history!"
