Disney - Was it really worth the Hatred?

I got back into watching the series with Dino Thunder as it brought me back to the days of the first series and that I watched it with my mom every Saturday until Mystic Force since she likes it too.

It never really mattered who had it , just that it was good. I wished the seasons were heavily promoted and that they still had them today , under the crew of Saban's or RPM. If Samurai was done like that , it might've been alot better, but it's only bad as it is stale, dry , a rip. Other than that, it was better than MF OO and JF combined.

Hopefully they will hire the crew of RPM to do Goseiger with Tzachor.

Well, as a fellow veteran PR fan now-turned Sentai/Kamen Rider geek. I thought the Disney-era of the Power Rangers had it's flaw in some of the incarnations. But, I thought Ninja Storm was an average start. However, it was Dino Thunder that got my attention and it was a real heavy hitter show that proved to us that the series still gives a damn even it was a part of Disney. Now for SPD, it was :meh:

But it would have been better if Kalish and Sakamoto-san didn't wasted too much of the exploding background over-usage and just focused on it's dark concept like Sky avenging his father's murder and Doggie Cruger arresting Grumm for his invasion on the planet Anubis (Or whatever it was called). But Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, and Jungle Fury were the worst ones ever made. As for RPM...I only liked the origin stories of Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Dr. K. But then rest of the show gotten boring after Gold and Silver's intro.

Overall.....I thought the Disney-era of the Power Rangers pretty much scored a "C-" on my score book. Now, perhaps if Disney hadn't been obsessed about it's budget and had found some decent actors and writers from besides New Zealand and Australia, I would've had a different opinion.

First off there was nothing original about RPM. It was a mix up of Terminator, Mad Max, and every other post apocalyptic robots take over idea. About that "**** you" to sentai footage. I just have to laugh at that. It's like you don't grasp that with out that sentai footage, there would be no power rangers.

I just have to laugh at you. Always.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Yeah, Disney & Saban didn't purchase the rights of Super Sentai just so they could ignore it completely and do their own things. If that's the case they might as well save themselves alot of money and create a new series from scratch, but obviously that is not possible.

Yes it was worth the hate. I almost gained respect for Disney when RPM came out because they finally made a good season....but then they decide to end the series there and what takes its place? A BUTCHERED version of Mighty Morphin'. After that and 4 mediocre-crappy seasons, thank god it's over!

Nevertheless, RPM is hands down THE best Disney season and a HUGE improvement over the Kalshit seasons.

Samurai isn't that bad. Sure it has its problems, but the show itself is a lot more bearable than Turbo and of course, the Kalshit seasons.

Besides, it's only one season and it hasn't even finished. At least Saban doesn't consistently make bad seasons. Back in the day, we had Turbo, which was a huge disappointment to me and many other fans, but then we had In Space-Time Force, which were all great seasons. The same thing could happen after Samurai.

And remember, the 20th Anniversary is coming, so I have no doubt they'll make awesome seasons again very soon. Saban loves PR and he wants the anniversary to be special.
