Disney cancels top two soap operas!

awesome news on the actors but oltl should stay on the air

I agree, I'd say the last six months is the best the show has been in years. Problem is the Prospect Park deal fell through. So I can see TPTB trying to kill two birds with one stone: keep OLTL going in a different form while giving GH a boost to prevent it from winding up on the chopping block like AMC and OLTL.

From what I understand, McBain's stay will be temporary, but the Mannings are in Port Charles for good.

I don't think Sam's included in this crossover. At least not that I've heard.

Anyway, this was great (and certainly unexpected) news. The Mannings are my favorite family on OLTL, so I'm glad they'll get a chance to live on through GH. I really wasn't ready to let them go! And John... well lets face it, the PCPD could really use this guy! That department needs all the help it can get! :P

Still sucks that OLTL is being canceled, of course. It's been the best show on the air this past year, but as far as consolation prizes go, the crossover isn't bad. It allows these characters to continue past the finale and will open up new doors for them, give them a chance to interact with people they otherwise never would've met. Should be interesting.

Incidentally, I'm thrilled Carlivati will be making the move as well. He's one hell of a writer! He took OLTL from a show I only watched on occasion and turned it into the highlight of my day. So I'm hoping he can fix GH too. That show's been in bad shape for quite a few years. Repetitive stories, no connection to history, back-burnering its vet cast, ect. Though if Carlivati's work on OLTL is any indication, I'd say he'll probably be able to straighten things out again.

As long as none of the Corinthos try to taint the Mannings I'll be fine with it. I'd hate it if either Sonny or Michael try to get with Blair or Starr.... Sonny in particular already has way too many women that fawn over him.

I'd personally love to see Sonny go to jail forever never to be seen again.

It sounds like the two families will end up being rivals, so I doubt you have much to worry about. Though I don't think Starr & Michael would be too bad... depending on how they deal with the Cole issue.

Speaking of the crossover, I wish Skye was still on GH. Having her there would probably make it a little easier to insert these characters, as I'm fairly sure she already knows the Mannings.

Anyway, what did everyone think of the series finale of One Life To Live? Great twist at the end.
I thought it was a little predictable at times. Clint and Viki getting engaged, Matthew becoming somewhat more open to the idea of being a father; pretty much how I expected things to go. But that's in no way a complaint. Overall, I think they tied things up well. And the build up to this episode over the past couple weeks has been fantastic! The show definitely went out on top.

I was glad to see Victor alive. Though I'm hoping GH gives us at least a few details on what exactly happened there.
