I just started this series this week. I'm only 6 episodes in, but so far it seems like the 'darkness' of the series and badassness of Gai have been somewhat overembelished. Having said that I am enjoying it. I do hope Raita and Ako get some more to do though. 51 episodes of Ryu, Gai and Kaori's love/hate triangle could get a bit same-y. I also never knew that Zyuranger simply redecoed the Jet Icarus cockpit :anime:

Raita and Ako do indeed get more to do later on with dedicated episodes. Maybe not as much as the other three but enough.
It's still my opinion that of all the love triangle stuff going on, Raita was the one who got the most lucky -- with Kaori [while Ryu and Gai were fighting each other throughout the series for reasons mostly involving her, she was biting into Raita's cucumber the first time they meet, or was it a zucchini?], [HIDE][spoiler for a later episode] Kaori's pre-historic look-alike whom Raita is co-habiting with after an elephant monster sends the Jetman back 1000 years in time,[/HIDE] and Raita did slog through the mud to save his childhood girlfriend whom if I'm not mistaken is the one he was with in the final episode wedding. There's something to be said about the farmer life!
On the other hand, I sure hope Raita had the foresight to wear a cup out there in the fields as he got nutted not once but twice in the first few episodes -- both Kaori and Ako got their foot in the jewels...
Too bad the Ep 10 ramen cup god didn't fly, surely he's descended from The Flying Spaghetti Monster around which all things revolve
