Digimon Savers comes to the US...

Hey, I think we're all mistaken. I was mistaken too. Savers has not been liscensed. It's only been listed on the Toei website for companies to pick it up.

I quote godofchaos from With The Will Forums:

"Because of the number of people who seem to misunderstand what the other topic is, SAVERS IS NOT ANNOUNCED TO BE LICENSED.

What that site is atm is more likely a site designed for Toei to flaunt their shows in the hopes that someone will pick up a license. Shows listed there may or may not get licensed.

While it seems improbable that Savers won't be licensed, no company has yet announced the fact that they've aquired the licensing rights. The very fact that you don't see this announcement on any of the major sites such as ANN, and that animesuki continues to list digimon as unlicensed shows that there has been no official announcement of a Region 1 dub."

So we still don't know which company will pick it up, or even if it'll be picked up. I don't know much about U.S. companies, but which company is most likely to bring it over with the least number of changes to the original content? Which company will most likely keep the two theme songs and opening sequences of Savers intact?

Man. I hate Digimon dubs, actually I hate anime dubs in general, because you lose the original culture and flavor of the anime in all that editing and dubbing.

Actually, so far it looks good, because I don't see that many changes, unlike what happened to the other seasons. I hope, I really hope some good company gets this; some company that knows how to appreciate Japanese anime and not butcher it according to what they think American kids want (because they're usually wrong anyway). I want Savers to go to a company that can help revive the Digimon franchise and I really hope they leave the story and dialogue untouched, because they shouldn't fix what was never broken in the first place. Hopefully they keep most terms, like Digisoul, Digivice Burst and other names. As long as 4Kids doesn't get Savers, I'm happy.

Honestly, I never liked any of the dub voices. Do you think that a miracle happens and they keep Gouing My Soul and Hirari as the Opening themes? If I'm not wrong, that rarely happend for anime dubs, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm just wondering, why can't anime be shown in Japanese with subtitles, instead of dubbing it? I don't think there's any loss of entertainment value. :disappoin

My country's dubs in engilsh are better in season one. Let Disney get it with no change in theme songs.
