I am Masaru! Cockatarimon Attacks!
Agumon is running through a tunnel, he's just escaped from DATS and they've sent Yoshino after him. Yoshino arrives at a police baracade, it seems that there's been an attack of some sort. Yoshino then shows her DATS badge and they let her into the crime scene. So I'm guessing DATS is well know at this point. She sees men laying all over the floor, beaten up and assumes it was Agumon. She then sees Agumon and Masaru fighting.
Yoshino tells Masaru to get away because that Digimon is very dangerous. Masaru then says that this fight has to be "man to man" or "it's a guy thing", something along those lines, couldn't quite grasp it myself. Either way, they keep fighting...and fighting...and fighting. Eventually about an hour or two pass by, then both Masaru and Agumon are on the ground, Agumon raises his hand and introduces himself to Masarau. Masaru does the same, and from this point on, Agumon calls Masaru "Aniki" because he is the only human to have his respect so far.
Yoshino finds them and tells them that she nees to take Agumon away. Masaru tells her no and picks up Agumon. Yoshino then takes out her D-iC and says "Realize" into it, and her partner appears. She does her seed shot attack, then Agumon does his Devi-flame attack which gives him and Masaru enough time to escape.
Now Masaru and Agumon are now at a building, Masaru's apartment of course. Agumon is listening to the police sirens. Seems they caused quite a bit of a mess. Masaru then asks Agumon where he came from, Agumon says that he doesn't know. He was in then "institution" for as long as he can remember and he doesn't want to go back. Masaru then proclaims that he'll be the one to help Agumon from now on. Agumon then runs to hug Masaru and stops dead in his tracks as his stomach growls. His mouth then gets watery and he runs at Masaru with a wide mouth, Masaru punchs him in the head and leaves a pretty big bump.
Masaru goes off to a store to buy some food for Agumon and himself. Before he left he told Agumon to stay put and be good. Agumon agrees and Masaru goes off to the store. In the store Masaru is paying for the food, he grabbed lots of random things thinking there has to be something Agumon would like in there. Yoshino then walks up, throws her jello into the basket and tells the clerk to add that to the charge and ends up making Masaru pay for it.
Outside, both of them are sitting at a large coin fountain. Masaru tells Yoshino to pay him back for the jello. She says to tell him where "raptor 1" is and she'll pay him back. Masaru says he doesn't know who or what that is and if he did, he wouldn't tell her. Yoshino then says that Daimon Masaru will have to come with her. Masaru freaks out and asks how she knew his name, she then says it's because he was yelling it out during the fight with Agumon. Then she goes onto to say his age, school, home and then says that his father was last seen ten years ago.
Masaru gets a little more serious now and asks who she is. Yoshino then says that there's no way Agumon can eat human food, he needs food for Digimon. Masaru asks where that's sold and she says that he can only get it at DATS. So Masaru agrees to go, otherwise Agumon will starve and die from not eating. Apparently Digimon in this version need food right after a fight not because it's a "I'm out of energy" thing, but because they'll basically die soon after if they don't have any.
Yoshino and Masaru are now at DATS HQ. I couldn't really understand this part, but from what I could...basically DATS is a group that works with Digimon to help protect both worlds. Then a turtle Digimon with a hat covering it's eyes walks up to Masaru and hands him a cup of tea. Satsuma, the DATS captain has a ferret looking Digimon around his neck, Kudamon, it's his partner. All DATS agents must have a partner, so there's a good chance we'll be seeing a lot of Digidestined this season.
Masaru says he has no intention of joining DATS. He just came to get the food for Agumon. Satsuma then says that the gate between both worlds is starting to fall. More and more Digimon have been appearing in the real world without knowing how they arrived. Satsuma also fears that this may happen to humans in the Digital World. So they're trying to understand what's causing the two worlds to become closer and closer.
Masaru gets mad and says there's no way Agumon would ever hurt anyone. Even if that ever ended up happening, Masaru would take the fall for Agumon. He'd never sell out his "Aniki". An alarm then goes off, a Digimon is attacking a burger store. Satsuma wonders if it could be Agumon and Masaru asks why would Agumon attack the place if he only eats Digimon food? Kudamon then snickers and says something along the lines of "Guess you'll be taking that fall sooner than you thought". Satsuma then replies that there is no special Digimon food, they just wanted Agumon back.
Masaru runs off to find Agumon. He goes back to where he left Agumon only to find that there is no one there. Yoshino then appears and says that it had to be Agumon attacking the burger place. Masaru then gets mad at himself and blames himself for being gone too long. There's a loud explosion close by, Masaru jumps into an elevator just as Yoshino finished telling him to let DATS take care of it, shutting the door in her face.
Masaru is watching the attack from the streets and yells to Agumon to stop attacking. Agumon (with a trash can on his head) then walks up to Masaru and pulls it off. Agumon says he's sorry for leaving but he went to look for food and got the thing stuck on his head.
Both Masaru and Agumon look up to the flames and see the shadow of Cockatarimon. Yoshino tries to get to the scene but is blocked off by a car that the giant Digimon threw. Kudamon (over her D-iC) then tells her that Agumon wasn't the one attacking.
Masaru is a little confused now, but he's pretty mad. So for making it seem like his "brother" was the one attacking, he runs at a GIANT CHICKEN OVER TEN TIMES TALLER THAN HIM. But what's size got to do with it? Masaru jumps onto the giant Digimon and Agumon follows. Masaru tells Agumon to attack it's from under. Satsuma and Kudamon are both surprised because Agumon has never allowed a human to tell it what to do.
Cockatarimon then steps on Agumon and somehow, Agumon is keeping himself from being squished by just barely holding up Cockatarimon's foot. Masaru begins punching and Yoshino yells to them to stop fighting over they'll die. To which Masaru replies "This is what it means to a man! This is what fighting and trying means! If we just give up then we've already lost!". Cockatarimon then fires an attack at Agumon, knocking him out. Masaru JUMPS OFF THE GIANT CHICKEN and runs to Agumon. He then gets mad and runs at Cockatarimon, who attacks but Masaru dodges. Then Masaru JUMPS ONTO A GIANT CHICKEN OVER TEN TIMES HIS SIZE, punches it, and his Digisoul awakens.
His grandfather(?) then appears, throws Masaru his D-iC and tells him that "With your will, awaken the power!". Masaru then charges the D-iC with his Digisoul and Agumon evolves in a CGI sequence.
One Mega Flame later and Cockatarimon is now an egg again. Yoshino picks it up and Satsuma calls her back to DATS. He realizes what this boy can really do. He wants him to join DATS. Agumon and Masaru then start to walk away with Masaru saying they should go eat some burgers. Yoshino then stops the two and says that she can't let Agumon go. Even though he didn't attack the burger stand, he still hurt 13 people today(start of the episode). Agumon then says that it was Masaru that did it. "There's no way they'd be a match for Aniki-san". Yoshino says she'll just have to take both of them in then, Masaru yells to Agumon to run, Agumon tells him to wait for him and the episode ends.
