Digimon: Future Ideas

All I'd want out of a seventh digimon series wouls be returning to the use of every main kid having a digivice and partner Digimon and Digivice, and going back to the use of Digivolution.

No offense to Xros Wars, but only giving Taiki, Kiriha, and Nene Digivices really just seemed to make Akari and Zenjiro less important

There should be a goatman Digimon. That animal planet special with him in a segment scared the crap out of me as a child! Though he could turn out to be a good guy for the author's wish.

And more Pinnochimon would be interesting. Would he be a good guy, or an antagonist?

Agreed! I always liked the comic and Kouta and DORUmon are pretty adorable.



An American anime would be interesting. Just hope it acknowledges our country's diversity and the cast isn't all white.



I disagree. I find the X-Evolution movie pretty good, though not without its flaws (Seriously, the movie is a sausage fest and I had personal interactions that I wanted to happen). Seeing a Digital World save itself without humans was pretty intriguing (Plus I ship WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X like burning and think they would make great daddies for DORUmon and Tokomon).

Also , why not throw in those Accel Digimon in there too?



Um why are the protagonists all boys while the antagonists are mostly girls? At least one of the protagonist could be a girl, even two, which would make a gender balanced cast. And any of the partner Digimon could be a girl. We know the creators don't care. For example, there's a male Piyomon and female Yukidarumon in Savers and I spotted male and male Harpymon in Heaven Zone in Xros Heart (Hmm, two out of the three are changed to dudes. I wonder...).

I was hoping Chronicle would be the fifth anime and then Savers happened... blech.... Not a bad show ,but it threw up on a great opportunity to revamp the franchise. Made me wish BOA went on with their American series idea with DORUmon and the Coliseum.

The girl antagonists 1-3 would be misled by the Evil leader into being evil for motivational reasons like popularity , the boy of their dreams , maybe even beauty like how the Riders were misled by Xaviax in KRDK. They'd come to the good side mid season (Episode 13) and bring a whole new dynamic to the team, not unlike the original Adventure . And like Turn a Gundam , it would try to bring all of the anime into the same canon, with appearances of Joe, Rika , the Zero 02 Cast, and some of the Frontier . And their digimon would be X-Antibody or they'd cameo in some form.

And now since Avatar TLA has garnered interest into American Anime, having an American/Japanese co -production or an all American one in the same style ,with the art direction of Avatar, would give it wonders. I'm thinking it'd be good if it was set in Japan /California/Hawaii the first 10-13 episodes, than broaden to a global scale as a full out war between the Royal Knights and the Digimon begin.

Also, X-Evolution disappointed me to the core. I was hoping it'd be a big screen adaptation of Chronicle and then that happened. Sure a Digi World without humans is interesting , but it felt weird and in some places, a human or two would've made a huge difference. I was kinda hopnig it'd be liek the Dsicovery Channel or NGC with animals mauling each other and fighting and running for the most part smashed with Miyazaki.

What if there were limits to the digivolution? Like in animorphs, you obtain a an animal's dna pattern and change form. But you must return to human form before 2 hours or else you'll be trapped in that form forever.

Why not switch it up? Since she's wood, she could be a Tiger , jaguar or some other jungle big cat. She could be the lead like how NinjaWhite is the lead of the Kakuranger , just that the dragon would be the second in command that would gradually take command or share it .

I don't recall the X Digimon being exactly evil since DORUmon and Ryudamon were good , but that's a creative idea. Beats the Digital World being bored and doing a Digimon holocaust for the hell of it. But then again , it seems like a repeat of 02. That is why I suggested a Hanaranger-like team of evil Digidestined misled/chose by the leader.

Digimon has and most likely always will be a Shonen series, and 99.9% of Shonen Anime have male leads, so there's an extremely low chance that a Digimon season would ever have a female lead, and I'm just saying this from a realistic perspective. But hey, there's always fanfiction, right?

I don't care who is the lead and all that good stuff, but I want to see a digidestined with a demidevimon and I want to see a FULL digivolution line.

Not if she's like Wonder Woman. If she had her personality and perhaps, her looks thrown into a tenage model, all the pervy guys in Japan would be hooked by her since apparently that's where the epic series went, and maybe that is what Digimon needs. Look at Evangelion and Asuka . If I never watched the first film, I'd assume Asuka was the leader de facto and Shinji her subordinate.

As long as she is a strong lead female , she could pull it off . Look at Avatar TLA. They had the Kyoshi Warriors, Katara, and now a girl, the new Avatar , is getting her own series . Anime either needs to evolve or ,perhaps be given to people outside of Japan to do it . Because apparently all they are concerned is making animated porn /crap most of the time, basically in the same rut as comic books are here but at least we have more options than they do to the foreseeable eye in companies and series. I want anime to go back to how it was in the 70's and 80's with an actual plot ,good characters and maybe hand-drawn animation (aided by digital of course).

I admit I like some modern anime, like FLCL , anything from the creator of Champloo , Evangelion ,the old Pokemon, Bleach, One piece , Avatar TLA ,Digimon, and new Gundam, but these are just exceptions to the rule.
