Although some here hate the dubbed version of it , I still cried when their Digimon went back to the Digital World. Basically, it was almost the same thing albeit with minor changes and the different music . In fact, I wish they dubbed the films and turned them into episodes at least instead of waiting that many years later and with Frontier's English music. I would've liked Tamers more if that was the case.

I would have to watch the Japanese version of Season 4 before I get even close to liking it because the dub pissed me off as I was hoping for Chronicle to be the fourth season. And then it was essentially Power Rangers ...

If they ever do something like that again , let it be based on the Kamen Riders and be individual fighters .

I think it's more the problem of execs, market people, and other people in the industry who are all "female leads in a shonen series don't sell" than the writers. I've heard of various writers in Hollywood trying to break various barriers, but the powers that be make it extremely difficult.

Though other countries being allowed to do their own versions of series franchises like Digimon would be pretty awesome.

And since all the stories ideas had would show up as fanfic, one can screw with the dynamics. I have as seven-part OC series where the lead partner is a cougar, a triceratops, a Wild Turkey, an extinct squid, a hadrosaurus, two mineral Digimon, and a frog. That's the good thing with fanfic. You don't have to obey to the prejudiced notions of a few overly paid execs.

Don't know how making everything in the same continuity would work. The multiverse concept makes crossovers easier. Though I have an AU series in mind where all the anime series would be in the same universe and have different plots (Adventure will initially take place in the Real World, the Tamers are sucked into the Digital World like in the first season, etc). Plus I could have my crossover pairings that aren't generally possible. *stares at Miyako/Ruki and Savers Agumon/Shoutmon* I have an notion for an manga AU series with the X-Evolution movie thrown in that might crossover with the anime one.

@Henshinslayer: The Dragon could be plant-based, or be based on any element if it must happen. I did a dino/dragon series when I was young, though mostly to get to the friendly wrestling-themed dino, whose size made Guilmon look petite (I should have known about my attractions even then).

Would the brainwashed Digimon still have their X characteristics if they're freed. I did a fanfic where a Digimon's enormous Child level size and power was influenced by being an evil mastermind's weapon. In the end, he and his friends don't mind these traits.

LOL would there be an Ultraman-like narrator to tell the audience every episode s/he should finish the enemy quickly, or they will remain like Digimon forever? And if/when they run over the time limit, would they remain as Digimon or would a loophole be exploited?

I originally watched the spanish dubs of Tamers, which kept all the original music and Guilmon's voice didn't made me want to beat something up. Because of that, Tamers became my favorite Digimon series, and one of my favorite anime to this day.

I think for the X Digimon situation...

Maybe the leader's brother can just wield Dorumon instead.

As for those infected by the X-Antibody, I think there are those that could possibly get use to their new bodies. The Royal Knights for example. Especially for those like Fanbeemon and Dracmon, they'll be partnered by other humans that joined the brother who is leading the rebellion.

I like the opening of the spanish version. Only the German and Japanese version is equal to it . I was small so I didn't mind Guilmon's voice. Now he's like a Jar jar Binks.

A Digimon series like Decade would be sweet. Main Digimon would be like Shoutmon, but he can use the abilities of the previous main Digimon through cards not unlike Tamers or Decade. His forms would parallel the powers and thus his evolution would be impacted by the cards, becoming his own Digimon with worth in the process as the others . Also like Goukaiger , but I won't get into the details.

I don't know. I miss that series.

I like Xros Wars' 2nd opening a lot, but bring back Wada Kouji for the openings. Butterfly, specially the "theatrical" version, is one of my favorite J-pop songs.
