Did you ever believe in Santa?

With Christmas in 26 days I decided to ask you, did you ever believe in Santa?

Way back in the day my mom returned a defective Santa gift to the local store and that kinda ended the belief phase for me. I was about seven at the time, lol.

I pride myself for learning the truth at a young age.

Figured out the truth at a young age, but I did believe in him when I was little. My heroes: Tommy (Green Ranger) and Santa.

Nope. It's all just a ploy to get kids to behave throughout the year. :P
My parents took me out and I cherry-picked my presents myself... so that was a dead giveaway.

And even if he did exist, he's dead now...

353,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second in the air will create enormous friction and Santa, his reindeers and his sleigh will instantly burn to death, just like meteors that occasionally enter earth's atmosphere.

I also wrote to Santa once when I was a bit older (just for kicks and to satisfy my curiosity to how he'd respond) saying I know the truth and how I don't believe he exists. In return, I got a generic copy-paste letter in return thanking me for the letter and telling me to be a "good boy" and all.

Where did you addressed it?

SANTA CLAUS
NORTH POLE H0H 0H0
CANADA

It's some address set up by CanadaPost for kids to send their mail to. Pretty sure it doesn't really get sent to the North Pole. :P
The mail probably just gets dumped at some mail sorting plant where they send back copy-paste responses as reply mail.
They probably don't even read them.

Likely another ploy to get people to send mail, hence, more $$$ for them.

Not sure if other countries have something similar...

I believed in Santa up until I was 7 or 8, until the Christmas morning when I happened to awaken a little early at my grandmother's house. I had to sleep in the living room with the tree since it was a small house, and as my eyes fluttered open I clearly saw my father carrying in enormous gifts that, later that day, I found marked "From Santa."

From that day onward, I realized I had something much better than Santa to believe in.

That made me cry a little.<3

I did once believe in Santa. It's funny because when I was a kid, I lived in an apartment and we had no chimney and I was like, "If we have no chimney, will Santa knock on our door or will he open the windows?"

Ever? I STILL believe in Santa! Just seeing pictures of him on ads and such during this time of the year brings a smile to my face, as well as those of many others. I just don't see what the point is of giving up on that kind of hope and happiness.
