DC vs. Marvel

In your opinion, which has better comics you like more?

I'm torn, while I like more DC characters, I feel Marvel has better stories and handle their characters a little better, these days.

DC usually goes for the strong story telling while Marvel just goes for the Wow fun factor. Ala having some "Cool stuff" in each issue like Nick Fury blowing **** up or Obama just hanging around rather than a good story. And of course Marvel has a current HURR GRIMDARK EVERYTHING trend thats just stupid. Like that whole Spider-Man Noir stint

That can be said for both IMHO. Genre-wide actually.

I've always liked both because simply put, both have cool heroes and characters so why in the bloody hell would I pick one at the expense of the other? The mere presence of Spidey in one and Superman in the other alone dictates that I like both. In their many years both have put out works of pure awesome and both have put out stuff that amounted to printed feces.

I think both are at their best when they don't apologize for being fantastic and fun but I look at it as Marvel is the heroes who find triumph in the hard-luck universe and DC is where legends live.

Going to have to go with Marvel. Aside from Batman and The Flash, I spent the majority of my childhood reading Marvel. I just feel Marvel is more rooted in our reality.

DC because, at times, they're willing to let their characters grow and evolve.

plus I love how epic their stories are at times (superman, green lantern, wonder woman) while they're still able to keep some stories grounded in realism (batman, nightwing)

marvel on the other hand is more grounded in reality, which is good at times, but for now I'm laying off of most of their comics until they reverse Quesada's big "FU I'm in charge so I'll do whatever the **** I want to spider-man decision"

Even though DC is in bluish purple, I still go with MARVEL,
Why? Marvel is more realistic and has better character development than DC.

Marvel, I like type of character they have, like Tony Stark of Iron Man.

I find it annoying when either has excessive love or brooding, DC and marvel.
