For almost 10 years Allison Mack played an integral part in the hit TV series “Smallville.” She was the best friend, the confidant, and the constant supporter of Clark Kent, but something was always missing. Unlike the majority of the show’s other key players, Chloe never appeared in an issue of DC Comics — until now. According to TVGuide, she’ll finally debut on the comic pages just like her peers Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Green Arrow, and of course Superman. Take a look…

As you can see, Chloe has her signature hair and her spunky attitude to match her new illustrated figure. She will make her first comic book appearance in DC Comics’ Action Comics No. 893, which goes on sale September 29th. In order to fit the character into the already established DC Universe, her history had to be tweaked a bit.

According to writer Nick Spencer, “It’s a pretty different continuity, which I think has always been the challenging part of bringing Chloe into the DC Comics Universe “She’s never existed in the comics before, so in order to make a part of Clark’s life when he was a teenager in Smallville, you’d have to do it somewhat retroactively, and it would age Chloe as a character a lot, since Superman is well past that part of his life in the books.”

THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!! She really deserves this!!! :castlerock:

Congratulations to Allison Mack for a fantastic job. Her character is now a comic character. :D
Her character looks a bit too spunky, but that's okay.

I hope her comic character isn't as annoying as her Smallville counterpart.

Eh? She was probably annoying the first 3 seasons, but after that she became very vital and her character had great depth, especially with her relationship to Clark.

Honestly this means nothing, first she is showing up in the currently Superman-less Action Comics (Lex Luthor is the current star) but she isn't even in the main story. She is to show up in the Jimmy Olsen back-up feature. No one cares about Jimmy Olsen stories, remember Mr. Action of course you don't. In the history of DC only one man made Jimmy Olsen stories worth anything, and that was Jack Kirby when he used it as more or less the 4th Fourth World book.

Makes sense, but I'm just happy her character will now officially be part of the comics.

Signature? That's shorter than she ever had it on TV - it was always short, but not that short. Hardly what I'd call signature. :redface2:

Well, her recurring appearance isn't the long blonde hair type, so I understand what they meant when they called that short blonde hair her signature. Blame the guy who wrote the webpage.

Action Comics No. 893 is the only issue of this series I will have ever bought. Damn Chloe is awesome.
