If you have never read this comic, then you don't need to look here. It's not a 'funny ha ha' type of post.

For those of you who HAVE been up to date with this comic, this post is in regards to THIS comic.

As some of you may know, my younger sister is pregnant. She's 18 years old, and her and her fiance live with my mother.

I found out about her pregnancy...I'm wanting to say in March...but given the storyline of the comic it might have been February, because I know that Lilah found out right around the same time as my sister. Today my sister is 19 weeks and 5 days into her pregnancy.

It was SO cool to see the comic pregnancy storyline coincide with my sisters. My sister also reads the comic, and we both loved the storyline.

Until I saw it today.

Now, I am not saying anything against the creator of Ctrl+Alt+Del, Tim...but I am now sad, scared, and a little upset.

Seeing that....opened my eyes up to the possibility of my sister going through the same thing. Before it was all fun, I gushed all the time, I want to buy the first stuffed animal, we're planning to buy her a new stroller and it was going to be amazing.

But now I just can't stop thinking about this. It could happen. Now granted, usually things like this happen within the first trimester of the pregnancy...but STILL...something could go wrong.

I don't think there's a point to this post, other than seeing that comic really saddened me and made me look at my sister's fragile condition in a whole new light. Now I'm just praying for October to come, and for this baby to be safely delivered.

I'm completely unclear as to what happened in that comic.

Also, I wish you and your sister the best.

I wouldn't worry...it is just a comic. Your sister is perfectly healthy and everything is fine right?

Yes. She's healthy and so is the baby so far. It's just seeing it in a comic, after you've been following it along through the whole pregnancy up till now is a little shaking.

I can't imagine anything more traumatic than a miscarriage... in fact I'd rather not even try.

Just stay strong Faded! Everything will be okay!

Most women have miscarriages BEFORE they even find out they were pregnant. When a miscarriage happens late in the first trimester it is typically due to something wrong with the fetus and/or the woman. Miscarriages don't happen "just because" and even a simple slip won't necessarily cause a miscarriage until it was a fall down a flight of stairs.

So her due date is October 22? She's entering her 2nd trimester there is little to be worried about now. Just tell her to continue taking her prenatal pills AND eat plenty of foods with protein.
