Wasting no time, Varna focused on finding a good vantage position. After spotting the cabin roof, he began to relay information about the Dhoanoids to the others as he tried to find guess their strengths and weaknesses.

â€Ok I can see what we’re up against, they’re a group of slug-like Dhoanoids armed with tentacles, nasty teeth-“

Stealth’s mind went blank as one of Dhoanoid’s spat in direction, hugging the floor, the Tager twisted his body to the right in an effort to quietly avoid the spit. Once the vile goop had landed, stealth carefully he moved from his position toward the cabin roof unsure if it had hit him or not.

Inaba’s Average Test: SUCCESS.

The Operator found a forgotten dumpster, which she used to ascend to the flat roof of a nearby building. Peering through her rifle’s scope, she could see the barge, with the two Patul Dhohanoids slithering around the large, perfectly black crate. All of a sudden, three of the Piper’s crew jumped over the edge of the ship and took hold of the chains attaching the crate to the crane. Sliding down, they landed nimbly on the thing’s top surface.

Stealth’s Easy Test: SUCCESS.

Stealth dropped as the spittle flew right over him and spotted the floor beyond him. He then rose up and darted for the roof of the towboat’s cabin, from which he saw the crate touch down and the three crewmen working on the locks to free it from the cargo vessel. It did not take him long to realise that the newcomers were Dhohanoids in their human disguises, and each of them was built like a brick house. Although he had been forced to cut it off in mid-sentence, his telepathic message was received by the rest of the Tagers who were in hiding.

Inaba frowned slightly at the sight. Dhoanoids... those were for the Tagers to deal with, she wasn't even sure if her rifle could penetrate. Never the less, she checked her feeds again for trouble as she assembled her rifle by touch - the virtue of long experience and familiarity with the weapon.
