Crunchyroll Announces Eight New Anime Acquisitions

I feel curious about the art styles of these new acquisitions. I recall Sunrise’s strong visuals in Gundam Wing, so “My Status as an Assassin…” may feature dynamic action scenes. STUDIO LINGS impressed me before with character expressions, so “This Monster Wants to Eat Me” might deliver on emotional close-ups. Jumondo’s work on Villainess Level 99 showed clear backgrounds, so I expect similar quality in The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King. I also want to see Zero-G’s fluid movements in Mechanical Marie’s fight sequences. Studio Flad’s design for Banished from the Hero’s Party was simple yet effective, so Alma-chan’s AI form could look very cute. I plan to watch trailers frame by frame to note line weight and color tone. For me, quality animation greatly affects enjoyment of a series.

I like that Crunchyroll gives October premieres. This schedule helps me plan my time. I will start with “Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!” because I look for gentle comedy after work. Then I will watch “The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King.” I think Serafina’s change of heart could be uplifting. I also look forward to “Mechanical Marie” for martial arts action. In short, I plan to choose three series to follow each month. The others I will watch if I have extra time. I appreciate that Crunchyroll covers multiple tastes in its selection.
