Closing Bedroom Doors

Here's an odd question for those of you that live on your own.

Assuming you have at least a 1 bedroom apt (and do not live w/ anyone), do you keep your bedroom door open at night? Or do you close it?

I used to close mine, just out of pure 30 years of habit, but I find myself now keeping it open, cause there's just no real reason to have the door closed.

I close and lock mine up. Not because of "I have roomates and they're jerks!". But because of "Once upon a time, I sleepwalked and opened my closed door and roll down the stairs, broke the wall, and almost broke my middle finger."

Depends. Some nights we close the bedroom door and some we don't. I like having the door closed because I can't stand the noise and lights coming from other rooms.

I do both...depending on how I feel when I go to bed.

I have a roomate, but she's also been my best friend for 11 years, and we've seen each other naked/in underwear before..

Reasons to close the door:

1) The cats. They come into my room and race around sometimes. Bastards. Have to lock it too because they know how to open the damned door.
2) Company is sleeping over. I close AND lock my bedroom door at this time.
3) Fapping. No one needs to see that. Closed AND locked.

Reasons to keep it open:

1) My male cat enjoys sleeping on the bed. And he ACTUALLY sleeps.
2) The AC is in my room, and the door has to be open for it to circulate through the apartment.
3) Sometimes I get spooked at night, if my roomie isn't home, and I leave the door open and turn on the bathroom light.

Closed at night, but of course, I have the worst situation as I usually have to turn off my AC during the recording of the show sometimes so the room heats up fast.

Now as I usually stay up late, I have to close my door due to the lights from my room so of course, the heat makes it unbearable. The only remedy, turning the AC on full blast and waking up in the arctic tundra -_-

I've always had a habit of locking up everything, with or without roommates. So I sleep with the door closed and locked.
