I keep mine closed just to keep the AC on a lighter workload.

I keep it closed. It's just a habit carried over from living at home and living with roommates. I don't lock it because I live alone, but when other people are over I do, just in case.

Like Rider I closed my door out of pure habit. However with the hot summer nights and the a/c only being able to hook up in the living room its better to have the door open and let the cool air blow down. Plus I think the cats like it better bc they have an obvious hatred of closed doors. They don't like not knowing what's on the other side.
