Classic American Toku Talk-Up

Mystic Knights wasn`t American, it was actually an Irish production. The original intention was to create a shoe similar to Power Rangers but with a origin in Europe.

The show actually continued into Battle Thunder, and believe or not there are episodes somewhere in the fox kids vault and Disney probably owns.

There was an entire toyline coming out for BT, inlcluding some kind of giant clockwork mecha.

There was also a dark mystic knight that never came out, but I found the actors website once and saw a picture of a helmetless knight decked out in silver on top of a horse with a skull on his chest.

"Death under me" was his call I think.

I enjoyed Beetleborgs for the most part, despite it's many flaws. I saw a couple eps again not too long ago and they were still fun.

VR Troopers I actually had mixed feelings about back when it was on, but I still see it as one of the better Saban adaptaions, though still heavily flawed. But that was more due to the editing of the Japanese footage.

I still love Mystic Knights. Had a love hate thing with it too, but I give it credit for trying to do something somewhat original. The overall story was rather good, even if the individual episodes were lacking. Edit: NinjaJack, all that stuff would have been great to see. I hope those unaired eps weren't lost.

I still don't see how Super Human Samurai can be considered "awesome" or whatever. The only remotely good thing about it was the Japanese footage, and that was the only reason I ever watched it. Almost all the American footage was very bad. That psycho guy, Amp, was probably the one amusing thing out of it, but they had to go replace him with some stupid stereotypical surfer "dude."

I kinda feel the same way about Masked Rider that I do about Super Human Samurai. Bad american footage, but I used to like the Japanese footage back in the day. Not so much now though.

I'd still like to see all these Saban shows on DVD and even Super Human Samurai, it was still okay enough (kinda).

That was supposed to be similiar to power rangers?? ...okay... I think they did a bad job on the similiar thing. Other than the whole Good Vs. Evil thing, but most things have that anyway.

Uh.. I think Saban was funding partially Mystic Knights so I would say it like modern PR was a series shot overseas that was created with the American Market heavily in mind.

And that dark mystic knight thing, I think that was a fan-wank was it not? I mean they already had tried that plot with the Forest guy (Yeah my special powers involve trees, great, that'll be useful in a sword fight).

Oddly enough many of the actors, specifically the Earth and the Princess did appear in I think the new modern take on King Arthur. Either that or another period movie piece.

I loved Mystic Knights and it had great story and characters that was always fun to watch. The story did try to be serious and I loved the Earth Night.

I actually have the plot in memory for him.

You see there were going to be two all new knights, Liam Mystic Knight of Lightening and this one other knight the Mystic Knight of Death. The latter was going to be an on going knight for Meave to use throughout the season. Or should I say her teacher the raven woman?

Anyway the plot involved Rohan being changed into a teenager Read what I got from AFPR

Mystic Knights Battle Thunder (weekdays, Saban) This live-action series follows
the adventures of teenage Rohan as he goes forth to find the legendary sword,
Dragonblade, which will bring peace to the warring lands of Scotland, Ireland,
and Wales. Along the way he and his companions will have lots of adventures
based on ancient myths and folktales, with CGI creating many of the monsters
and creatures Rohan encounters. All 52 new episodes will be filmed in Ireland!

yeah. part of the reason I liked Mystic knights was the characters. You have a lawful paladin, a sneaky thief, a spoiled princess and a banished prince from another country on the same team. Oftentimes it felt like the dialogue was actually written by two people talking to each other, because the actors bounced off each other so well.

And of course, though we didn't see much of him, Garrett was awesomeness.

True one of the reason I liked was the dialouge it was written well and I thought armor designs were really well done.I did also like how they made the main hero the destied one it was unexpected because I thought Giaganta was someone else.
