It was a nice sunny day in the secluded island of Eureka University, where the best and brightest aspiring scientists and engineers have gathered to hone their skills in the chosen trade. Students went about with their usual business; some walking to their respective classes for the day, some having lunch at the University commons (which many felt served restaurant-quality food), some headed for their dorms to sleep some more, while others hung about the campus grounds and did whatever they felt like doing, whether it was studying their lesson for the day or chatting with their friends.

In one particular spot on the campus grounds, an attractive, well-endowed young woman with long, green hair, was sitting on the grass, looking over at various problems in her Physics textbook. Of course, this was to be expected of this particular young woman, known to many as Hiyori Kasugano -- the daughter of one of Japan's wealthiest families. Trying out one of the problems in her notebook, Hiyori let out a deep sigh as she stared at the particular problem for a while. Man...I'm really having trouble with these Physics problems. But I guess life ain't as easy as when I was back in high school. Back then, I always got top spot on my exams. Ah well....I guess I should take a break and have a nice meal at the commons... Hiyori decided to herself, closing both her book and her notebook as she put them back in her backpack.

It was then she heard a faint echo of what seemed to be rock music. While most of the students saw it as an unnecessary nuisance, Hiyori knew exactly what really went on: Ryusei was "rocking out" again. Ryusei's wasting his life again....I wish he would stop swimming about in his sorrows, she sighed once more, zipping up her backpack and getting up off the grass, patting away her rear end to remove any dust and particulates from her skirt. Deciding to pay no more attention to the rock track echoing across the campus, Hiyori proceeded for the commons, hoping to have some spaghetti with pesto sauce -- one of her favorite dishes

((All right, Minna-san. Your Characters can be doing whatever at this point.))

As usual Ryusei was throwing one of his famous raging parties while blasting rock music at high volumes with people just having a good time after the lessons of the day. Even if Ryusei was practically destroying himself the fact that his parties were a great stress reliever to everyone that attended them couldnt be denied. That and a generous serving of pity was pretty much what made them allow Ryusei to remain at Eureka University since his downward spiral began.

As the song "Holy Diver" , which was obviously his favorite song since he played it no less than three times at all of his parties, Ryusei took a big gulp of Jack Daniels and to a hit of one of his many bongs as he allowed himself to be immersed in the atmosphere of the current party while he joined several others looked on and enjoyed another staple of his parties, the wet T-shirt contest.

While most were simply swept up in the admittedly fun atmosphere of the loud and chaotic party and just enjoyed themselves, those that were familiar with the circumstances that led up to Ryusei's current mental state couldnt help but feel sorry for him. At one point he was considered one of Eureka's best and brightest and was admired by practically everyone, but after the incident he just seemed to give up, hell he didnt even smile if he didnt have some sort of substance in his system influencing him.

Hideko, in contrast to Ryusei and Hiyori, was in her dorm and currently working on one of her projects for her major, which was in robotics. The project in question was a small foot high robot that she was tinkering with. It looked like something you could buy for a child, but Hideko was able to construct it herself and was now working out the kinks on it's programming.

This thing won't be to do much due to it's small size, but if I can incorporate human like actions into it, I can use this as a base to make our current line of robots even more life like... She was referring to the robots that her family had made for the home market. They were a success, but they received complaints that their movements were too rigid. Hideko was going to correct that problem.

She was having trouble concentrating though thanks to the loud rock track that was echoing across the campus. This annoyed the brown haired young woman slightly, but knew full well the reason on what the music meant. Ryusei...again with the parties...you could be doing something constructive...it's no good to wallow in this sadness continually... Losing some of her current motivation, Hideko put the robot aside and contemplated what to do next.

After a few moments of thinking, she had an idea and went to her closet. Within a few minutes, Hideko emerged from the closet in a maid uniform and head out for Ryusei's party. Now, I'm not going to actually join the party...I'll just be the greeter and serve people drinks and stuff...I better be careful not to inhale any of the smoke in there...I don't want to end up doing something stupid... She decided on this for a few reasons, one being because she wanted to talk to Ryusei after the party...and also to do some promoting for the Enomoto family's other business, maid cafes.

Hey, I can't miss a good plug when I see it... Smirking to herself, Hideko continued towards where the party was being held.

Hiyori, who was on her way to Eureka University's dining commons, began to walk along the narrow footpath that passed by the dorms. She often took this path not only because it was the shortest path to the Commons; it was also not as crowded due to the fact that not many people knew about this shortcut to the Dining Commons. Naturally, by taking this path she usually passed by the dormitory in which Hideko Enomoto, one of her friends in the University, lived in. Passing by that particular Dormitory building, she saw Hideko exiting the building dressed in a maid outfit, instantly taking the hint that she was out promoting her family's Maid Cafe once more.

However, she also noticed that male students began to crowd around her, with some even armed with digital cameras. With such a scene striking a sour chord in her, she stopped in her tracks and shot an angry glare at the male students. "Oi oi! Get your butts away from her right now!" She yelled at the male students angrily, attempting to save her friend from lots of humiliation due to her current outfit.

Kengo was in the dining commons sitting with his legs in in the chair, and they were holding his clipboard which had his research which he was starting to not understand. Kengo then began to twirl his hair with his left index finger, and he sipped his coffee with his right. To others the way Kengo was sitting was uncomfortable, but he thought it helped him focus on his work. Kengo began to solve his formula, but as he went through it he saw that it just seemed impossible to solve. Kengo then face palmed himself, and said," Dear god I am retarded." Kengo had messed up on the number of hydrogen atoms there were, so he had messed his whole problem up. Kengo saw a nearby trash can, and he balled up his formulas, and after he copied the problem onto another sheet of paper Kengo through the mistakes into the trash.

Kengo had been interested in chemistry ever since high school started, and now he was excelling in his classes thankfully, but Kengo heard some commotion, and he decided to go check it out, and Kengo saw Hideko in a maids outfit, and Hiyori chasing off the pervs, and one guy was taking pictures, and Kengo walked up behind him, and kicked the camera up into the air, and caught it. As the guy struggled to get his camera Kengo deleted the pictures, and then threw it into a nearby trash can. Kengo smiled, and said," You know I'm not a perv or anything, but if you didn't want to make a scene Hideko then you wouldn't of dressed like that." Kengo then laughed, and he covered his mouth, so no one saw him smile, but he had done this so many times everyone knew what he was doing. Kengo then waited for a reply.

As she was walking towards the party, Hideko noticed the crowd she was drawing and was smirking, fully expecting this attention. Oh...some of them have cameras? Well, that's to be expected, you know? Let them think what they want, nothing revealing about this maid outfit...not like the ones in the cafe my cousin Ami works in... Sighing at the thought of her cousin, Hideko heard shouting and noticed Hiyori telling the male students to get away from her as they started to crowd around her, impeding her progress.

Um...well, I was going to tell them to go away on my own, but- Before she could finish that thought, she noticed that Kengo had arrived and deleted the pictures from one of the male student's camera. After hearing Kengo's reasoning on how not to make a scene, Hideko sweatdropped slightly. "W-While, the thing is that I'm heading over to Ryusei's party in this outfit to act as a greeter and serve drinks...I know, I know, you guys can say what you will about him, but as his friend, I can't just let him destroy himself like this...which is why I'm going to talk to him after the party is over...wish me luck, all right, guys? Thanks for the help."

Doing a curtsy as any respectable maid would do as thanks towards Hiyori and Kengo, Hideko continued on to where Ryusei's party was being held.

Watching as Hideko did a curtsy in front of her and Kengo, A saddened expression formed as she ran up to Hideko and grabbed her hand, instantly getting the other woman's attention. "I'm actually concerned for Ryusei as well. I mean...ever since that incident, that's all he ever did. I'll come along and help you talk to him at the party," she told Hideko, her voice expressing concern. While Hiyori never really went to any of Ryusei's parties, as she was busy with studying or her tutoring duties, she felt that she needed to do something as well -- both as a student and as the leader of Liveman. Of course, this was just part of the reason why she was coming along; she knew full well that at the party, someone was bound to do something perverted to Hideko in her current outfit, so she would come along to be Hideko's second eye. It's going to be my first time coming to Ryusei's party. I wonder how badly his place would smell... she sighed deeply, aware of Ryusei's reputation for abusing questionable substances.

At that point the song "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath ws playing at the usual extreme volumes as several odd fumes seemed to hang in the air as the somewhat drunk Ryusei sang along to the lyrics of the song.

"Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all,Or if he moves will he fall?" he practically shouted while drunkenly air guitaring to the rather awesome guitar riffs before continuing on with the lyrics."Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? Well just pass him there,Why should we even care?" he shouted before air guitaring once again and continuing to rock out.

Kengo sighed, and said," Ryusei is just always tired from his parties I don't know how he passes his classes I don't want to go to his parties, and well you are in a made outfit, and you don't know if anyone is drunk or high, so you might need someone to defend you, and plus maybe Ryusei might need a good punch in the face to get him to understand he's ruining his life I mean I barely had the chance to come to this school, and if I did something like him, and ruin that chance it would just proves my ignorance." Kengo then followed Hideko, and Hiyori, and as they were walking he said," Oh crap forgot." He ran back, and grabbed his coffee, and his formula, and then ran back. Kengo smirked and said," I'm sorry I am always forgetting things." Kengo said chuckling.

Hideko was actually surprised that both Hiyori and Kengo were willing to help her out, and she responded with a smile. "Thanks, guys...hopefully we can talk some sense into him..." She said, giggling some that Kengo forgot his coffee. In a short time, the three of them had made it to where the party was being held, and without hesitation, Hideko opened the door.

They were greeted by loud rock music, partying students, and a odd smell in the air. Oh...so that's what it smells like...ugh... Entering inside, Hideko's eyes darted around to try and find Ryusei, so that she could tell her his intentions of being there. Even though she couldn't see him, he did hear his voice, and, after following it, came face to face with him, trying to speak up over his loud voice. "Ryusei-san...can we talk for a little bit?"
