and then you have people who will take whatever comes down the pike as long as it is even vaguely shaped liked something they are familiar with regardless of actual integrity or quality and bend over backwards to defend it.

In other words, liking everything is no more a logical response than hating everything. There's room for critical thought in regards to this stuff and it's cheap as hell to try to dismiss any critical opinion as "bitching and moaning".

and if you want to talk about taking something too seriously, there's a degree to which that is a problem with modern comics and comicbook movies. People always think it has to be in extremes because if you're not doing Dark Knight your doing Adam West, as if there's no middle ground in-between.

If it's fun, keeps to the spirit of the source, and doesn't bore me... Then I don't care what they change. Comics are constantly changing. They have 10 versions of the same characters in some cases. To just say "They didn't use so and so suit or helmet so it must suck" is just.. well it's dumb IMO. I see nothing wrong with the suit they are using for the majority of the movie. It keeps to the spirit of Cap's suit, it has the shield, and it works. But hey, if it makes you feel better to hate on it for small reasons like this... Go for it.

King, I didn't say the movie was going to suck. Read my damn post. I said I have some cautious optimism about the movie.

and I wasn't talking about the suit they are using as his main costume I was talking about how the movie is going out of its way to have a scene mocking his classic comics one with the USO show bit.

Yeah I would have preferred the classic suit but I'll roll with what they have. I just don't think it's necessary to take needless shots at the classic one in the process.

1989 batman suit sucked lol. only thing I don't care for in that green lantern suit is those toes lol they creep me out.

Back then that Batman suit was revolutionary. Without that suit I doubt any of the hero movies we got since would have had such cool designs. Don't hate on the beginner.
