Can Toei made Toku shows not seem like a kid shows??

Technically, they did reach the laurel branch out to adults. THE FIRST and THE NEXT. Those were Kamen Rider productions aimed at 18-24 year olds and older Kamen Rider fans. (Well, at least THE FIRST. I have no idea who THE NEXT was aimed at.)

Everything else is for kids. And if you ever see the commercials, you'll see I mean young kids, not 10-15 year olds.

Kamen Rider may be aimed for kids but it has alot of adult elements in it.

thats becuse Japan dosen't have soccer moms.

The only modern day Kamen rider seris that is very kiddish is that horrible Den-O(Yes im a huge Den-O hater and I am proud to admit it!)

yee..Den-O is awful. Lucky I just stopped watching that crap before becoming a hater. Now i just dont care about it making me waste my time.

Its a kid show. You watch a kid show. We all watch kids show. MANY kids show.

And we're not the only ones.

Just accept it, deal with it and stop being so concerned.

Stop trying to wish for your passion to be somehow 'legitimize' and hope that 'adult' elements are introduced just so you don't feel like a weirdo!

You have NOTHING to justify or legitimize. You like what you like, nothing wrong or illegual about it (though our downloading of copyrighted material is but that's another subject).

Its a kid show and it has no obligation to be anything else. Just be glad you can enjoy it and DO SO!!!

I can accept it. I know it's nothing wrong watching kid shows even i am a grown up. but i alone accept it, while the ppl around me do not accept it, now that's another thing. I'm in malaysia, i don know what is the situation in other countries. People around me seems not to watch toku shows when they are already at youth age. In my situation here, only me alone watching toku shows.. My family members all call me childish n say words like 'never grow up' to me.. i do feel sad about it. i tried to argue with them, telling them about the comparisons between toku shows n those marvel or DC comic hero in the cinema. u see, just look at a kamen rider n iron man.. Is there any difference? Iron man is also a type of 'masked ' hero, just that he don have a bike. Although they r speechless after that, but that does not change their mind. That makes me always have to hide n watching alone, like i'm doing something that cannot exposed in the light.

I just don like the feeling that ppl look down on me n call me childish just because the television programme i watched. In fact, i love those toku shows.. I enjoyed their fighting spirits the most.

That's why i just suggest, can Toei at least try to change the image of toku shows in most ppl. I don think they will lose many kids fans by changing toku shows into an adult shows. In fact, kids nowadays also watch adult shows a lot. So, don worry about losing children fans. That's just my suggestion.

It's a kids show, maybe not the most childish but its still a kids show. I got crap all the time when I was in school for liking the Power Rangers but who cares. If they make a joke about it, go along with it. If they want to call you childish who cares. I'm at university now, no one cares about what I watch as long as I don't talk about it. I can watch it all I want. We joke about it all the time, its fun. People grow up and soon you will just watch it and not care what people think. I've been watching Rugrats for the past week on my pc, no one cares and I like it.
You like a show aimed a kids, who cares. If you really don't want to be laughed at about it either don't watch it or keep it hidden. The show wont be changed because you don't want to be laughed at.

Just because Kamen Rider actually has a plot doesn't mean its "darker" then Sentai.

Oddly though, Sentai is usually better about following through on what little plot it gets.[/off topic]


And as for your "Not seem like Kid Shows" comment, try going outside of the box of Sentai and Kamen Rider. There isn't much, and it's still somewhat (Okay mostly) cheesy, but stuff exists.
