I suppose Boboboubo Boubobo is pretty direct with a lot of its jokes like Excel was, however Excel Saga had a lot of dirty/vulgar jokes. Boboboubo Boubobo's comedy is more good natured and just silly.(This is obvious since Boboboubo Boubobo manga runs in Shounen Jump, while Excel Saga was serialized in publication for older audiences) Although Boboboubo Boubobo's jokes are often EXTREMELY RANDOM, more random than Excel at times.

Tell me about it.

I recall one chapter (a special or not, I'm not certain) had Dark Yuugi from Yugioh jumped out of his fro and summoned Osiris. XD

But that and the overall crack make me love this anime.

this is sad. I mean I know we all have our likes and dislikes but seriously. Do ANY of us expect anything GOOD out of this anime? Cause I dont.

It's actually pretty huge in Japan...but this is one of those things that should stay in Japan.

Not dubbed, because it will be slaughtered. There are so many jokes that can't be translated it's not even funny.

Like Mihara said, this is one of the things that should stay in Japan, because it's so hard to transvey to an English dub. The slapstick is still funny though.

Not only is translating this series difficult, also dubbing it. Some of the dialogue delivery is very important. It needs some really good voice actors to pull off what they do in the original.

Seems like a pretty unique pick for Toonami. I've hope for it. It's so crazy... it just might work. They could've gone with just some other action show with robots, and whatnot, but instead they went with something insane and I'm cool with that.

And only in fanboy land is this a guaranteed butcher. We don't know the edits, the VA studio, or standards that this'll be held to, so I don't know how it'll turn out.

I would've thought once that FLCL would be hard to make fly in the US, but it's one of the dubs I enjoy better than the sub.

Anyway... we'll see.

People act like everything is dubbed by 4Kids these days, tho..
