Big news about PR's future.

I watched power rangers like what, back in 1994? I never really understood why it was so popular anyway. I feel sorry for the young and old PR fans.

I don't think that's necessarily true... Mele is a good and interesting character as is Miki. It's just they sort of struggle with the female ranger characters. Are there a lot of female sentai writers?

Well I did say 'good girl'. Mele's a bad girl XD

But yeah they do struggle with the female rangers. She'S always the one with the 'cutesy' or 'nice' job like she's the paramedic, the dolphin trainer or something other completly random thing while the guys are firefighter, race car driver, secret agents or what have you.

I think the only worthwhile female Ranger they ever did was TimePink and even there Jen's got her beat IMHO :buttrock:

Karone and Kira could teach a thing or two to most female sentai rangers :buttrock:

Yeah. Yuuri and Jen are awesome if ya ask me.:)

From what I'm making out, Jungle Fury will be a pretty good season. The guy playing the Red Fury Ranger, Jason Smith, was in "Home and Away", a soap-style show here in Australia for a couple of years, and I must say he was incredibly good. That means here it will get heavy promotion and not just a 6:00am or sometimes 5:30am (Time Force was only on last year, at 12:30am, and I discovered this when I was too late :() So the main channel that shows PR here, Channel Seven, will probably advertise it a lot more because they are the same channel that shows H&A. That may possibly mean that PR will finally gain back some good rep here and give support. Heck, Channel Seven are skipping OO just to show JF.

So, fingers crossed that JF is a good season, because it may gain momentum of support not only here but if its really good, in the States as well and may ditch the idea of an Animated series. If it doesn't, there's always hope Disney'll sell the rights of PR to someone else (probably make more money than they will by making an animated series IMO :P), who will do what Saban to it and bring it back to its roots even more (possibly even making it a continuation as well??? i.e. MMPR-Zeo-Turbo-In Space)

Disney, if you have no plans to possibly sell the series, you better prey to God that Jungle Fury is pretty damn good.

Well things aren't looking good. I read on RangerBoard that Disney isn't showing much interest in continuing PR past Jungle Fury. They are thinking about canning PR as a whole. I guess this rules out the Animated series.
