Best Fight Choreography?

Uh, dude, toku means live-action with special effects. Anime, by definition is not toku..

Also, clearly Kamen Rider Dragon Knight has the best choreography. They won an Emmy for it.

But isn't Garo a mix of actual and CG fighting anyway?

Well, the actual fighting is pretty nice. Even the parts of the fight when they aren't wearing armor. Although I haven't seen Makai Senki yet.

But seriously, Wizard has some of the most intricate choreography out there.
Can't say anything about other tokusatsu franchises really.

Definitely both seasons of Garo. The movies had good choreography. I really missed seeing Mark Mushasi in action. For Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, it's hard for me to pick one. Some series have their own good points based on their concept. Maybe I vote for Shinkenger or Dairanger. For KR, I go with Kabuto.

Personally, the Kamen Rider W A-Z movie had some awesome choreography compared to the show. Dunno about the W Returns movies, but the A-Z was one of my most favorites.

I really like Dairangers and Wizards choreography, but another I haven't seen mentioned as much is Gekiranger, I thought Gekiranger's choreography was really fun, it wasn't on the same level as the previous two I mentioned but I feel it was pretty unique all things considered.

I have always loved the works of Koichi Sakamoto. I know him best from his work on Power Rangers, it was nice to see some of his signature recurring stuff in Kamen Rider Fourze, but without the ridiculous restrictions he had to work with under Disney (all the explosions that everyone complained about from Dino Thunder through RPM? That was because Disney didn't like that people were hitting each other. Yeah...)

He tended to overdo wire work during that same period, but there were times where it really worked, like the Jungle Fury season, which, based on GekiRanger and the Kung Fu theme, was just tailor made for wire work based on the (admittedly few, but mostly Jet Li) Kung Fu movies I had seen.

I truly believe his magnum opus, as far as Power Rangers fights go was in Jungle Fury's penultimate episode Path Of The Righteous with the one on one battle between Casey and Dai Shi.

It's just a real shame he all but gave up during RPM in favor of the Michael Bay on Speed "camera shakes non stop so you can't focus on anything" style.

I like Zyuranger, Kamen Rider Black and RX. I really enjoy watching series in which the characters can fight both in and out of costume. I like how in Zyuranger, it had this consistency between the actors and stunt actors. How they would widen their stances and position their shoulders and throw their punches and kicks were the same. I felt this was Black and RX as well.

Dairanger I love it for reasons already stated.

I also enjoyed Ohrangers action, too. I thought some of the fight scenes were creative in fighting multiple enemies.

the only one(s) that could challenge GARO for the title would be the fight scenes from the movies THE FIRST and THE NEXT... sure the last one bombed terribly but it was pure fast paced action without CGI...plus awesome bike scenes that garo's "horse" fights cant really compare to..

Oh if we can include "Bike Fight" choreography that 2-episode mini-arc in Kuuga where he fought the bike-riding Grongi had some EPIC motorcycle stunts. Compared to the usual use of the rider bikes where it's just "call in the bike and ride past the bad guy while he clearly just jumps dramatically to the side" 'choreography' it's not even in the same league.

I'd mention Black's Road Sector vs. Dark Sector 'fight' but that was mostly just going really fast with dramatic camera angles and explosions.

It's a shame that most of the Heisei era Rider shows use the bikes only for simple transport or big CGI finishers (Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Kabuto).
