Best female lead in Kamen Rider?

Hana was a one-trick pony that wore out pretty fast. That plus her wardrobe was atrocious.

I liked her normal outfit.
Wait...not like.....Had a huge hard on for.

Though, i wish when they De-aged her that they gave her 10-year old self a new outfit. Keeping that outfit made her pure Loli-bait.

Seconded. I like what Hana wore, yeah it was hot. And it worked well on Yuriko too.

Mari and Mana kinda served the same purpose: to be the main characters moral compass in their time of turmoil. Both of which Haga and Akiyama served well.

Ozawa, Sakurako and Hirose were the brains behind the riders themselves. Each providing the characters with weapons, knowledge or assistance in their fight against Grongi, Lord, Undead. The Hibiki ladies could probably be here too.

Yeah, I dunno about Hiyori.

Akiko and Natsumi followed in the footsteps of Hana, except with less cute outfits.

Akiko is like a better Hana to me personally.

Also, I forgot to mention that I kinda like Hina. She's not a "favorite" but she's not too bad so far. I think that "hngyuuu~" noise she makes when she goes all strongwoman is really cute.

I would certainly like it if we could get more female Riders. But given the choice between a woman briefly being a Rider to serve as a shallow showpiece of diversity (Natsumi, Femme), and being a fully-realized character who is truly important to her show in ways that don't have to do with fighting (Ozawa, Akiko, Sakurako), I'm going to pick the latter. Especially given that we're probably just not going to see any real main character female Riders anytime soon.

Although, the day we get out first real female Rider, I think we're going to be in for a loooong ride.

Wasn't there a female Rider in Agito?

Also, TACKLE! Whether you think so or not, she was the first step for females becoming riders.

Technically, there were. But they didn't fight, they didn't even get their own designs* -- they just stumbled around, acted confused, and tried to kill themselves.

And yeah, Tackle was great. It's just a shame that since her, they haven't exactly been making great strides. If anything, the female Riders since her have all kind of been a step back.

*You can say that it makes sense if all Agitos just look the same, but then you have Another Agito, so...

As do I.

I also have a penchant for Ozawa and Akiko as well.

(Looking through the thread, I notice nobody mentioned Yui, Hiyori or Hana as their favorites )

Yui is one of my favorites. She definitely takes a spot on my top five favorite leads. I think Akiko would have ended the Rider War sooner by hitting Kanzaki on the head with the slipper.

As we've learned in the last few pages, that's all that matters.

Ozawa was made of pure, unadulterated win. She was fiercely independent, never took Hojo's crap, was useful throughout the entire series, and powered by beer. If that isn't amazing, I dunno what is. I still have trouble believing that Inoue created her.

I'll also hop on the Natsumi bandwagon. Why? Because she was one of the few people in the series to actually consider Tsukasa's perspective. Sure, Yuusuke stood up for him, but it was more due to his fierce loyalty to Tsukasa as a friend rather than the level of empathy that Natsumi felt for him. However, she wasn't so caught up in his perspective that she blindly followed him even when he was in the wrong. When she knew that Tsukasa was too far gone, she was willing to kill him to save everyone else. I really hope we get a Kamen Rider Kivaala spinoff movie at some point in the near future.
