Best and Worst Kamen Rider Premieres

Decade has an amazing premiere, maybe one of the best in the series. W's I thought was really good in terms of announcing exactly what kind of show it was and what you were in for if you decided to spend a year watching it. Also, while the effects shots are hella dated, Kuuga's premiere was really impressive back in the day.

Bad premieres? Hmm. In retrospect, Kabuto's premiere is laughable; Tendou comes off as nothing so much as a live-action Bugs Bunny. Blade's I think throws way too much exposition at the audience at once, on top of being very poorly directed. Faiz's premiere is also pretty dull, and doesn't do a good job of setting up what kind of show the series is actually going to be.

Best
Black, Amazon, RX, Ryuki

Worst
Faiz, never have I been so confused and overwhelmed

Double is the best and Decade is the worst.

Double pretty much had the entire feel of the series in the first episode. The episodes are coupled, so including the second episode, the first story of the series simply established the series with the start of the plot flow.

Decade tries too hard to be taken serious. The same problem arises with Kabuto. I think of it this way: We start with cool and some people want to top that; we eventually get to super-mega-epic-amazingly-incredible cool, but we never actually get it. Decade tries to destroy the meaning of Kamen Rider by putting them all in some war and putting the character of Decade at the very top. The whole idea is asinine and we can see it from the very beginning.

Best Premieres:
-Decade: Great job on introducing the Great Riders War and how it is connected to Decade's actual purpose.
-Agito: Possibly a huge retrospective way of honoring the Showa-era Rider series by introducing the characters and playing the 1st ED theme, "Believe Yourself"
-W: As I remembered most of it, I think it some how shifts forward to the intro of Philip and Shoutarou's backstory and towards the actual case beginning.
-Den-O: Very comical, nice way of showing a monster helping out an unlucky human an thus becoming the main protagonist later on.
-Amazon: What can I say?! Best way of introducing the purpose of Amazon's journey.

Worst Premieres:
-Hibiki: There wasn't anything special about the backstory.
-Kabuto: Very weak production.
-Kiva: Need to stick to just one introduction like the series should have.
-555: Like a cheesy knock-off of an episode of NCIS.

Double and Decade are my two favorites.Decade was more gimmicky though.Double actually is probably the best premier. It introduced the characters, the story, and the setting very nicely in the 24 minutes it could.Decade would've just been a mediocre premier if it weren't for all those special effects and the Rider War.

Best: Decade (one of my Favorite Toku episodes) and W. Off the top of my mind.
Worst: Nothing off the top my mind.
