While I understand that they might be doing it for economics and to have a bit more creative control (by making it animated they can actually design their own suits/zords instead of having to copying the ones from the Super Sentai version like they've been doing all this time), but damn that's still a kick in the nuts.

Disney have done plenty of things right AND wrong with PR. As a PR fan more than a Sentite, this is actually something I'd rather see develop beyond negotiations. They can do a lot more with animation than they can with live-action.

Toei really ought to look at the bigger picture here, this means they can create a whole new set of licensed merchandise and designs, and profit not only from that, but also Ban-Dai licensing off future Sentai merchandise as "expanded" toyline ranges. Think the Transformer toys you don't see in the series.

Well,then Disney should have no problem with Toei taking thier footage to another company. I mean the whole point of Toei selling them it was for them to use it. If there not going to use it. Let another company do it.

an animated series wouldn't last more than a single season. I really hope that when Disney decides to put the lid on PR they go out with a HUGE finale with as many former cast members, battleizers, zords and former villians as can be gathered.
