Beast Wars: the Ascension

well I just finished reading beast wars the gathering, which i loved, and i find out about the follow up mini-series The Ascension, does anyone know when it's coming out because the IDW website tells you nothing

With it being interwoven with the Beast Wars we know, I found it to be too convoluted and just couldn't follow it.

How'd it end? Did they give a real reason why they felt the need to do the series like that?

And is Ascension a continuation?

Wait what is this again? Is this a comic? (See, this is why it was a bad idea to merge cartoons, anime, and comics together. I assumed this was anime until I saw the mention of IDW.)

Beast Wars: The Gathering was an IDW mini-series that took place during the third season of Beast Wars, it centered on expanding the other Maximals and Predacon toys not covered in the series, and even ones that appeared in the Beast Wars animes, like Magmatron.

Unfortunatly, rather than continue the series in a post-BW way that would retcon Beast Machines (Dreamwave were going to do that), "The Gathering" has two Maximal and Predacon factions "temporarily displacing" themselves by one or two nano-seconds so they essentially fight and carry out their schemes amongst Primal and Megatron's groups without detection (though Magmatron does reveal himself to Megatron in an attempt to capture him)

"Ascension" will be a sequel.

basically they send the transwarp signal out to cybertron, the battle ends, and the maximals make a base b/c they may be in it for the long haul,. i guess the reason why they did a series like that was because there were a lot of toys in the beast wars line that never made it on the show, so this was their way of tying them into the series along with the two japanese beast wars series

No one really knows the details of the story, yet. All we really do know is that Lio Convoy (yes, they're using that name) is a main character, and lots of other Japanese BW characters are supposed to be in it. On the same note, the BW profile books are going to be having all of the BW II and Neo characters in them, as they are now officially part of US BW.

No one knows the details of the story yet?.. lol?... not!

heres the scoop on this mini series... This stuff is worth buying for dons art alone guys :)

Right now IDWs main problem is that it lacks focus! Its putting out some good g1 type stuff out there how ever they are all mini series! They do 6 parter type story arcs & then it ends and then they continue it in a new story arc! A lot of people don't get into it because of this type of format... What they need to do is get 2 or 3 main titles going & have them be in it for the long run personally I think more people would get into that way! On going tittles would be better than short story arcs :S

I already knew about that summery. I was talking about real details.

Also, I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to the TF books. I don't really see how it lacks focus. They have a main storyplot, with various subplots setting up for later events. Even the various spotlight issues have to do with the main plot to some extent. It seems like they're more focused than most other comics right now.
