bandai knows recording tv shows to buy their merchandise

does bandai know if people are recording their shows to buy their merch?

mods can you edit this thread title to bandai knows recording tv shows to buy their merchandise?

Not entirely sure what you are asking really. I do know that a company can get information on how many people are using their DVR to record a specific program, even in non Nielsen households, leading to what some would call a more "accurate" representation and more fair number than the Nielsen system. However if you mean to imply that Bandai is somehow using a mysterious technology that allows them to identify the pretext of why a certain person is watching the show... then no....

Well basically this is another one of his do you need the toys to watch or enjoy the show threads again just re-worded.:rolleyes2: Of course they know their making a profit from the shows merchandise...

my apologies, what i meant was Does Bandai know that people buy their merchandise based on recorded shows? i didnt how to describe it.

it doesn't even have to be recorded shows. could even be live shows. they will know when people actually buy the toys when toy stores tell bandai how many were bought and so on

I think he means "Do they know that we are buying their **** because we are watching their **** online"

if that is what he means then of course. you buy your **** off AmiAmi, HLJ, big name distributors and those companies tell Bandai how much of their **** has been bought. lol.

But AmiAmi and HLJ always mark their goods as being sold in Japan, so it's likely Bandai doesn't have a very good idea of just how many of their toys are being imported by everyone over here. If they did, it might increase the chances of them subbing episodes online or hell, just letting us order internationally from the Premium Bandai site.. Which I think is what the topic creator was trying to get at.
