I'd say they use the same joints (ALL of it) like one, and each MAFEX figure has a Tamashii Stage-like stand.

I wonder if Bandai allowed MAFEX to build figures with those joints?

Knee and elbow joints are VERY similar to SHF.

The hands plug into straight pegs (like the Medicos SAS figures if you have any)

Shoulder joints are ball and socket types, and pop out easily, but this isn't a bad thing.

Hips pull out for more leg extension and posing capabilities.

The CAPE is made of this really nice material that hangs just right and when he's crouched, it fans out and drapes down just like it should. I'm hoping other companies jump on board with cloth capes like these.

Chest and waist joints also pop out fairly easily and are ball and sockets. his side to side rocking is impressive and he can get into many Batman-like poses. Not much of an ab crunch but I don't feel like its needed.

I'm not sure how others' figures are, but my Batman can't bend his head down too far. I've tried forcing it (luckily it hasn't broken when trying this) but I guess with some creative camera angling, you won't notice much.
