Question - I'm thinking about getting it on Blu-ray. 1) Would it work on a US release PS3? 2) Do these have English subtitles?

America and Japan are in the same region code now, so yes.
English on an official release? Never.

Ok didn't know about the subtitles. I never looked into buying a Japanese Blu-ray. I guess I'll be passing on it then. Thanks for the info!

Japanese Toei DVDs and Blu-Rays never have subtitles. Dragon Knight doesn't even have subs so they couldn't even watch with eng audio with subs like the German's can.

These Blu-rays are gorgeous, if they had eng sub options they'd be perfection like the Ultra Galaxy Legends Blu-ray.
