Akira...hot damn!

Ok, I know I'm...many years behind and that most of the members seen this movie like 20 times, but I just so happened to flip onto the channel showing this anime. Sure it was the last 50 mins that I tuned into, but dammit I liked what I seen. For a 1988 anime, its visual and flow of animation didn't cease to amaze me. It was action packed, yet with enough drama to actually make you feel emotional. Anyone that has any kind of info or anything on movie, I really would appreciate it.

Man, Akira is fantastic. If you like that, you might consider Spriggan, which has the same visual style, though is admittedly not as good as Akira in my opinion.

I quite liked the movie, though it's been years since I saw it. Had a VHS copy, but it was stuck in my mom's house when she lost custody.

Well when I saw it I liked the visuals but I could never understand the plot and well considering most of the dialog was the two main guys shouting their names. Then again that was years ago, I should watch it again.

I seen this too and I too enjoyed the visual but the plot was sort hit/miss with me...but overall pretty damn good visuals.
