Actor Mako (Aku, Po-Han,Akiro) Dead

Mako wasn't a martial artist...

In fact it says in the first post he was trying to break that stereotype. :laugh:

I saw him do a kung fu fight in an episode of The Green Hornet series from back in the 60's. He played (surprise, surprise) a Triad member who gets into a fight with Bruce Lee's character, Kato. Granted, some of the harder/trickier scenes were done with a stunt-double, but for much of the fight between Mako and Lee, it was quite obvious that it was the two of them that did the fighting, and that they knew what they were doing. That was why I said that.

I think I'd rather have Iroh have an off-screen death than the role be recast. Iroh with any other voice would just seem wrong to me.

I always liked him in the Conan movies. He was also great as Conner MacCleod's mentor in Highlander 3.
