I have already how the Engine Blade is not a gunblade, and how Bike Form is not an FFR, so I won't go over them again, but one thing I'll also say is that while on the surface, Shotaro and Ryu seem to be total opposites, they are deep down pretty similar. both lost their family(close to family, in Shotaro's case) to a powerful Dopant, and both have since changed themselves as to keep that grief inside so that they won't be vulnerable to any more loss, and both strongly desire to bring justice to Futo, even if by different methods. for every advantage to them there is a flaw, which really brings them out as characters. and they have a rivalry simply based off different methods, but both know when to put those differences aside to work together, making Ryu an excellent foil for Shotaro. as for hypocricy, Aya turned into a hate-filled monster, whereas Ryu had more of a lack of self-control, but still retained his humanity.
