A Toku Noob's Opinions on Decade

I've only been into watching Tokusatsu since earlier this year. Right now, I'm focusing on Decade, which is probably an odd choice for someone who has only seen two other Heisei era shows (Kabuto and W). Here are some of my opinions on the show, first overall as of Episode 10, then a little bit about each world.

Overall, I'm really enjoying the show. I had a nerdgasm when that anti-decade old fart summoned the Hopper twins. I really like the fact that people keep harping on Decade because he's "the destroyer of worlds", yet all he's been doing so far is trying to help people out in his own unique way. I like the Final Form Ride concept and my favorite so far is probably Kiva's. Natsumi isn't as annoying as Akiko for me, but I really don't mind either.

I feel that Kuuga is more of a development and introduction world overall. It isn't as "gimmicky" (not saying gimmick is a bad thing, far from it) as some of the later worlds, but it's still pretty interesting.

I really liked World of Kiva. The whole "Fangires and Humans working together" deal was interesting, and I was glad that not everything was happy and rosy with fluffy kittens in scarves.

World of Ryuki was awesome. I liked the whole "Kamen Rider Trial System" bit, and I'm glad the whole mirror jumping deal is used later on by Decade as Ryuki. Eijiro chasing the chicken was pretty funny too.

World of Blade was fun as well. I like that Tsukasa decided to give everyone Ace-level lunches. I also laughed my ass off when Kazuma started thinking Tsukasa's whole Zero of Spades thing was meant to inspire him because I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

No real opinion on world of Faiz yet.

Glad ur enjoying it. Ignore what haters say about it. Let us know once you've finished it and prepare to pee ur pants on the later worlds that Decade visits.

Oh that's just fine, strangely, Decade was my first Rider too :P However, I have seen all 31 eps, and there are a few series (or at least an episode of said series) that you NEED to watch to understand Decade. Ryuki (episode 1 reference), Kiva (episode 1 reference, episode 19-20, and I believe episode 31 as well), Blade (episode 31), Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (how I got into Decade actually, and yeah, strangely, you should see it), Amazon, and Black. Also, Den-O would be confusing, try and see that too :P Try and at LEAST look at an episode of them before looking at Decade again, because you will be really confused and may not enjoy it as much as I have the second time around ^^

It's not a bad series to start on, gives you an overview of the different riders.

Although I suggest once you finish a series to go back and watch the Decade episode with that rider, you will appreciate some of the things better. :)

Decade too is one of my fav Riders as well, especially if you want to take a mini course through the Rider Series.

From one novice to another, I like decade, its my first kamen rider series, and I'm Branching out to Kamen rider from Super sentai. I'm about as far as your are episode 10. So basically my first thoughts on the series were like this is awesome it's like Aka Red got his own series.

I'm glad you are loving it
don't listen to anyone that hates it

I loved Decade

you will understand why he is the destroyer...soon...and you will go...WOW twist

yeah...enjoy man

Decade is somewhat enjoyable for its fanservice, but it'll be a worthy anniversary series if it has an awesome storyline. But we all know that....

Decade is the only Rider that ha no story.
