Here Comes A New RESIDENT EVIL Film!!

We'd previously heard Paul W.S. Anderson was cobbling together a script for the next RESIDENT EVIL film. Now sources for Shock Till You Drop have revealed the subtitle of the project to that site, and offered its target release date.

Well, we've just learned from a studio insider that Sony is looking to get Resident Evil: Afterlife into theaters by September 17, 2010. That's according to an internal memo circulating through the offices there.​

Shock Till You Drop also indicates the franchise's action will now move to Tokyo, as suggested by the conclusion of the last film. No word on who'll be directing this time around (the last installment was directed by HIGHLANDER's Russell Mulcahy), although Milla Jovovich seems to be implying another reprise of her role HERE.

1st one was good.. the 2nd one was awesome... the third one was teeerrrible.

So, I don't have much hope for the fourth.

The first one could have been a prequal to the games. The 2nd one was an abomination of pure ****. Instead of telling the story of RE2 which was amazing, they screwed over the characters, made mila's crap ass character the main, and ruined what should have been an amazing movie about Leon and Claire.

I do not accept the excuse that the movie makers spew out that "everyone knows the story of RE2 the game, we want to make it fresh" that is horse ****. When they make a movie based on the books sure they are getting the book fans, but they are also getting the game fans. The game fans wanted a real RE2 movie, not the crap fest that we got. And lets not forget, Racoon city looks just like Canada.... :redface2:

The 3rd movie was just pure ****. It was **** on every level. It made the **** that was the 2nd movie less shitty by comparison.

well i chosse the RE films and the Silent Hill film over the other video game adaptions any day.

still i kinda wished they would stop at three.
