Resident Evil Veronica: Capcom Revives a Classic With Modern Survival Horror Design

Code Veronica getting a remake feels overdue. That part of the story always felt important even if it was not numbered. I remember playing the older version and getting stuck in a few places, but I still kept going because the story with Claire and Chris was strong. If they are modernizing it but keeping the survival tension, that is the best direction. I just hope they do not simplify it too much. Some of the challenge is what made it memorable. Also curious how they will handle Wesker in a modern engine because his presence in that era was one of the most interesting parts of the series for me. This could finally give that chapter the attention it always deserved if they do it right.

I've been waiting for this remake for years. It honestly feels like Capcom is finally checking off one of the biggest requests from long-time Resident Evil fans. Code Veronica was always an important part of the story, but it never got the same level of attention as Resident Evil 2, 3, or 4. Every time a new remake was announced, I kept wondering when its turn would come. Seeing it finally happen feels satisfying because this game has been stuck in the past for too long. Newer fans are about to see why so many of us kept bringing it up whenever remake discussions happened. For me, this is not just another remake. It feels like a chapter of Resident Evil history finally getting the respect it should have received a long time ago.
