I was in my 7th grade English class, and a teacher from across the hall came into the room with a remote in his hand to tell us a plane crashed into the World Trade Centers. Then an announcement came over the loudspeaker and told all the teachers to turn their televisions on to watch it. It didn't really dawn on me until it happened again, then the Pentagon and everything. I remember being really confused.

I was 4 when this happen, I was watchin tv when the report showed up. I thought it was an movie until my mom told me wat happen. When I was about 6 my uncle who is an NY Police Officer told me he was there when it happen. And since then I thought wat would happen if my uncle got killed durin the attack.

Funny that you have a Spidey sig, because didn't Marvel make a special Spider-Man comic about this?

Yes, written by J.Micheal Strazynski, it's quite amusing since even comic book terrorists like Doctor Doom were depicted crying....as if.

I was waiting for a bus and heard the news from my father....I've developed controversial views on this day (and NOT through ignorance, just common sense). so I'll keep them to myself for now, but it was a tragic event to watch unfold on television the instant I got in the house

I was sleeping when my Mom woke me up and told me. At first I thought she was kidding when she described it, until I saw it on TV. Last year I finally went to Ground Zero to pay my respects, something I wanted to do before the new tower is built.

I was in math class and didn't really believe it at first...we spent the entire day watching the news, pretty much.

I was in my senior year of high school when I saw things unfold. I didn't even know anything was going on until my first class when our teacher turned on the television. I remember a few girls were absent and some were asking permission to call relatives and a lot had their gaped mouths covered in shock.

After my initial shock, I immediately thought of my boyfriend at the time who is Muslim and really prayed that he wasn't getting any harassment the moment they revealed who the culprits were. I think I visited and stayed with him for most of the day after school let out. When I got home afterward, my parents were just answering phone calls from our relatives in the Philippines assuring them that nothing has happened in Los Angeles as well as watching the news.

I'll be in New York in about a month and I know I'm definitely leaving something behind at the memorial.

I do so remember that day. I was 7 but was still able to realize what happened. The two towers burning up on the TV screen as people in McDonalds crowded around the report. People exchanging concerned looks and some starting to cry knowing that they had loved ones working there that day...

It is a day to remeber indeed. *salutes*

I thought I was too young to remember back then. One of the worst things about this aside from so many dead was that people were trying to look self-righteous about it. My elementary school teacher made everyone write about it and he made everyone write about how Bush should have been impeached for sending troops to Afghanistan by using 9/11. How could kids write about something like that?

What is amazing is that people survived still after over a week.

Everything still seems unreal.
